Just for one second, think of the possibility that we want him gone. We want to cash in and rebuild again for the forseable future and that a 31 year old player with a fantastic transfer value is seen as surplus to requirements.

Maybe just maybe Yaya and his agent are really pissed off because they got wind of us not wanting them anymore?

Interesting take, mate, although I don't see it.

You don't need to destroy a legacy like that.

Toure can take his pick, there's no way City would willingly let their name be dragged through the mud like this, just to serve an ultimate agenda.

All Toure had to do was speak directly with City and tell them he had reached the end of the line.

I'm sure all he has done has enabled City to consider the pros of a sale.

Re: Yaya Toure

slap a £60m price tag on him and replace him. Sick to death of players behaving like this. The guy was idolised by City fans and would of gone down as a true City legend. Not anymore in my eyes !!

Re: Yaya Toure

if he does go to psg for big bucks they will have to do some book balancing

i'll take lucas moura off them

Why don't you keep up. This was taken from an interview with a French station a few months back.

No it's not. It's from an interview he gave on Tuesday to France Football.

No, it wasn't. They even pasted the exact words he said then. But even than, Yaya aimes PSG. Really ...

Here you all go: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1690256/manchester-cty-yaya-toure-psg-move-possible?cc=5739" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1 ... le?cc=5739</a>

Now do the maths ...

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise

So basically you'll sit there and blindly defend him until he's sold. Then you'll say he had to go.

Fair enough. Standard fare for Bluemoon.
I'm just aware of what has happened, in public, before with Toure, his agent at Barca and City.

Just maybe he wants to move to France and it was his wish all along. Yaya and his family are French speaking so Paris is a lure.
That's fine if that's the case. However, there's a right way to go about making that happen and then there's the way that Yaya and his agent have gone about it.

Exactly.... we'd then have thanked him for his fantastic contribution, wished him all the best and spent the 25m fee on another player who could hopefully have a similar impact.

Right now he's busy destroying his reputation as well as a fantastic chapter in his,and our clubs, history.

He and his mucker should be fucking ashamed.

In short mate - a more mature one to be honest. Soon we'll have fans coming up with stupid nick names a la Arsenal fans with Na$ri and the like.

Why we expect our players to be any different to the Rooney's and Suarez's of the world in demanding more pay/better conditions is naivety in the extreme.

Build a bridge and get over it.

I would also question whether this news is as huge as you envisage - you do realise there was a little competition finalised over the weekend called the Champions league? And there's a small tournament just a week or so away?

As I live outside the UK I can assure you that the global reach of this story is far more muted then you would expect...

So go on, answer my question, which clubs' forums do you reckon would be this beacon of maturity that you seem to expect. I don't reckon any club's supporters would react any differently tbh. Just to clarify, if yaya had just said, I've done my bit and now I want a new challenge, I don't think many on here would have done anything other than thank him and wish him luck. But that isn't what he has done is it? When City fans switch on programmes that run nothing about football usually like Newsnight or HIGNFY and they are running items laughing that Yaya has been such an arsehole because your average person cannot fully get their head around such ludicrous behaviour then why on earth would it surpirse you to come on here to find people saying that Yaya has indeed been an arsehole. There's only one person at fault in all this, who has behaved in a pretty shameful manner but you would rather come on criticising supporters for being pissed off with him.

What sort of defence is it but justifying your own poor behaviour by saying "At least it's not as bad as xyz..." - I'll tell you, a pretty poor one. When you display that sort of logic then it quickly descends into a race to the bottom in which no one wins.

You're saying there's only one person at fault - however the only person responsible for their own actions is themselves. Not Ya Ya. Just because he's acting like a right pork chop doesn't mean you have to. Is it that hard to measure your response rather than saying I hope the **** rots in the EDS or other choice statements?

Well first of all I don't think I personally have responded in the ways you have mentioned although I have definitely voiced my displeasure at the way he has behaved but I like to think I have generally done it in a fairly measured way. But I can completely understand why people on here are furious with Yaya and I find it absolutely bizarre that in all of this, in everything that has happened, you have come on here to knock supporters who love the club and who have come on a forum to vent which is effectively utterly harmless. Some people might say you're a bit of a sanctimonious arsehole who is focusing on the wrong problem. Obviously not me though, I'm more measured than that.

Re: Yaya Toure

Without doubt the guy is now toast, no way back for him at all now.

What worries me is will we have to realise his transfer first before we can strengthen the team in that position? These sanctions could seriously affect our transfer strategy this close season.I seriously hope we can get Fabregas in stick two fingers up at Yaya and leave him up shit creek but somehow I can't see us signing a replacement until the money has come in for him.

All this after the World Cup talk could be a fucking disaster for us if he plays hard ball over a move.
