Re: Yaya Toure

Hope he stays, but if we get 40 to 50 million for a 31 year old then it would be a very good deal for the club.

He can go and play in a less demanding league for more money, so from that point of view you cant blame him.

No player is bigger than any club, we were here before him and will be here after him.

For all the bollocks coming from Yaya or his agent about being an honour to play for PSG, the simple truth of the matter is that if he was after a move to them it is purely for money. It's a less demanding league... only real challenge is from Monaco at the moment – about as one sided as the SPL! Add to that the TV coverage of the French league is far less worldwide than the Premier League - the only competition that is challenging is the Champions League, and honestly we have as much chance as them of winning it – so there is no other reason (professionally) for him to go there! And as for ending his career at Barca... well when that time comes, Barca won't want you mucker!

Yaya will always be a legend to me, he's scored some of our most important goals in recent years – against the Rags in the FA Cup Semi, in the Final, against Newcastle away when we first won the PL etc. etc., yet he goes on about respect and whilst giving the club and fans none seemingly... don't forget Yaya, you were a quality player when we signed you, but playing for us as made you into one of the World's best midfielders, so show a little respect to what City have done for your career too!

Haha Benatia has been "disrespested" by Roma now too and it would be a dream move to us.

Do we like Benatia or is it a one way street? Just wondering ;-)

Also if City have received an offer from PSG we must be thinking how can they be ignoring FFP and we aren't!

Something fishy about all of this.

Not at all ... rumour has it that UEFA have told City/PSG the transfer limit is based on book cost of players rather than overall transfer value ... ergo ... any fee is booked over the length of the contract. In essence we could spend 200 million on four players giving them all five year contracts and not fall foul of the FFP rules.

UEFA themselves won't confirm this because much like the 21 man squad restriction, the details of the settlements fall in favour of the clubs who are being punished thus making them look weak.

Has the ten day period not passed now?

and do we want Benatia (as he seems to be copying Yaya) so if we are upset at Yaya, and accept Benatia are we hypocrites or just biased? :-)

Re: Yaya Toure

I'd send him away in a second if PSG offered $15 million + Matuidi. I think he just signed a new contract though.

I suspect it's not about the 10 day period but about the overall perception of FFP. I daresay that the full details of how the sanctions are administered will never be made public.

Dunno how you equate the Benatia and Toure situation ... they're totally different unless you're the supporter of another club trying to make City look bad.

Re: Yaya Toure

From what I've seen online Roma fans are reacting roughly the same way people are here.
