This Luiz - £40m benchmark thing is ludicrous. One team paying an inflated price for a player does not and will not change the market.
Yaya Toure is also not worth anywhere near £40m. If he were sold now, he'd have little resale value to who he went to, he's not a big bringer of revenue, his wages are huge and he'll soon be approaching the twilight of his career. You're looking closer to what PSG paid for Ibrahimovic, £20m

He's worth what's he's worth. To us 20m is nothing, may aswell keep him. If someone offers 40m we say maybe, he's 31 so worth thinking about. We then throw it out there and attract bids. PSG for example panic and give us 50. Either way we can't lose.we keep the **** or get top dollar.

Ultimately players are worth what another club is willing to pay - there is little rationale in transfer prices hence there are good deals and bad ones. How much did we give Wolves for Steve Daley?

my mate told me that after the last game Kompany has smacked Yaya in the dressing room and he's spat his dummy out big time about it,probably a load of bollocks so don't shoot the messenger

I heard the same, plus when Yaya was on the deck, Pellegrini got his cock out and had a piss on him.

Bad news, if true.

Am I the only one here who actually wants him to go now?

No - he has blown my support. A bit upset that I voted for him as player of the year (though his performances warranted him winning). Now just want him out before he poisons the atmosphere in the dressing room.

Get rid.

I think most people are in a moral dilemma. If he goes we will miss him for a while as he is world class when he wants to be but if he stays we have aa player who doesn't appear to want to be here and has wholy disrespected the owner

The only way for yaya to come out with any credibility is to come out before the world cup and say that he wants to stay and apologise for his agents words. And we all know what the possibility of that is.

Yaya is in the aa? That would explain some of his tweets, perhaps someone ought to warn his sponsor that he's fallen off the wagon?

Yes thinking about it Kompany must have ran down the tunnel into the dressing room. After dancing and singing, quickly twated Yaya then lead everyone out back on the pitch to pick up the trophy and celebrate.
