A lot of people are reading a lot into recent things and I think that those statements are best ignored. Yes he had a hissy fit and behaved like a bellend at the end of the season but I think right now he is unlikely to be doing much more than spending time with his family now the football season is over.

He is just a typical African player - ironic that they come from nothing and then act like the greediest and most selfish c**ts in the world. Nearly every African team in the World Cup had issues over player bonuses despite all but Algeria being shite. Not one gives a toss about the fans, the shirt, their club or country. I have said before too that Yaya is only interested in the big games. He could be up there with Messi and Ronaldo in terms of reputation if only he tried as hard in every game he played. He can run 60 yards with the ball and bury it in the bottom corner and the only reason he doesn't do it more often is his attitude.

This is probably the last opportunity we have to get rid of him for decent money. No rival in this country would have him and there are options out there. I wouldn't say there is a player who is directly comparable to him but we can re-shape our side playing Fernando and Fernandinho centrally and Silva in the no.10 role behind a striker. Vidal would be the best replacement for instant impact, Pogba one who could go on to be a real talent.
1. You do understand Messi and Ronaldo had conflict with their clubs over new contracts right?

2. Have you ever thought that the African football clubs were unfairly keeping the bonuses of their players?

3. As another member pointed out, there are a lot of non African footballers who have done similar, or worse to get a new contract.

Now stop being rascist.

Re: Yaya Toure

Another summer of ups and downs.
I thought we had gone past that.
I'd sell if we could get an adequate replacement. He is starting to piss me off.

Right now is the perfect time to sell Yaya Toure if you're Yaya Toure, not if you're Manchester City. That's why I think he'll be here next season and why we're all going to have to come to terms with the fact. Peg on nose time....

I think if you're City too it's hard to see his value being any higher than it is right now. So on that basis it's sort of the perfect time for City to sell too. The unfortunate thing is that he's playing this out in public. It's been said loads of times but I imagine if he'd quietly gone to the club at the end of the season and said "with everything that's happening with my brother, and the fact i've won everything there is to win in England, I'd like a new challenge", there would have been a way to find a resolution that suits everyone.

I understand the economic case but you don't sell your best player, it hurts the team.

Re: Yaya Toure

If you were an employer with someone like him you'd say in my office now and lets's sort this out as its damaging you,the brand and the other staff.
Have we done that??? ? I guess not ........................So he will carry on annoying us like a fart in a lift until we do.

Re: Yaya Toure

At the end of the day, he's been one of the greatest players in our history, a massive fan favourite and an influential member of the dressing room. He won't be held in the same stature at a new club, he & his agent know this and want improved terms in line with Shrek at the Scum. We also must bare in mind the loss of his brother which will no doubt have affected his mental state as all bereavements do, this imo explains the ridiculous cake gate and statements about the club and his brother.

When he returns he'll be sat down with his agent by Tixki and Sorriano, be allowed to get all his aggravations, thoughts and problems onto the table, a compromise will be reached in a professional manner by all parties which will result in him staying on, resolving any issues with the club and continuing in a positive manner playing for City.

The reason I think this? Because of the ability of the people running the day to day business of the club.

I don't think it does explain cakegate tbh.

The door is always open to players to go and talk, we do not have a snarling baconface and ceo lapdog ready to rip your bollocks off behind the door.
We have very astute business men who know full well the importance of having happy staff.

I admire your optimistic outlook on events however life has beaten me down and i am a cynical no bullshit kinda person and all i can smell coming from camp Yaya is bullshit if i'm honest bud.

If he came back and was not a problem then fair enough but he needs to show some contrition here and this i feel this may not happen given how this issue has transpired. I would not be singing his name but i would not see my arse either.

That's a fair view mate and I'm sure most blues will take that view point, the reason for my optimism though is because there is no other alternative for Yaya, the club has made it clear through channels in the media all summer that he won't be sold under any circumstances.

By sitting him down I think the issues he's put out there about not being respected by the clubs hierarchy can be resolved and the club can also move to talk him around, which I think is doable. For example we could sell the fact our refusal to sell highlights how much he is valued by all at the club.

The mental state after his brother's death has definitely played some part in all of this imo although it may well be nothing to do with his absurd comments, I don't know, they could well have been generated by his agent to engineer a new contract/move.

I just hope the club will look past it and resolve the overriding issue, which I'm sure they will.
