Re: Yaya Toure

Just heard on the radio that his agent has now said that Ya Ya will stay at City as long as he's promised a coaching role when he finishes palying!!!

Just abit of a u turn dont u think!

looks like our boys are whispering in Ya Ya's ears.

Re: Yaya Toure

Talking about one persons efforts for a team is all well and good but YaYa (if indeed he is the culprit) and his power crazy agent should remember the old but true maxim.....'There is no I in Team'

In spite the latest comments from Borat, the sour taste in my mouth wont disappear.

The way this has been handled by Yaya and his agent is so poor and disrespectful I cannot quite yet let it go.

I'm still in the won't forgive and forget camp. And unless we hear from Yaya himself asap, I'll remain there.

I may be a bit of a naive romantic, but I demand more than quality on the pitch from any Man City player.

Agreed - no class and his agent is baking mad!!

...sorted your spelling mistake...

Here's a good example of why people shouldn't rush to conclusions. It's been established beyond doubt that Tevez refused to warm-up, having just done so, not to play. But in the heat of the moment Mancini said something that wasn't quite true but suited his narrative. And that's the line that still gets trotted out today, plus it meant we lost a key player for months.

City seem to have handled this very well, being calm and doing their talking out of the public eye with careful briefings. And the agent is now looking like a complete dickhead and he's harmed his client's profile as well.

Re: Yaya Toure

we may or may not forgive yaya in time .same as we did with tevez.but one thing is for sure he will get dogs abuse from every away fan in the country! this for a player that most supporters likeded and thought he was acctually better than he is .suprising how many fans dont realise what a lazy twat he can be when you only watch him on match of the day

Probably just more bullshit. Aside from the fact he'd likely have been offered one anyway, If there's one way to ensure you don't get a coaching role at City, it's to behave like this.

Re: Yaya Toure

Coaching role after contract expires??,bunch of idiots, couldn't they have come up.with better reasons eh? what is that idiot of an agent gona.ask now a part of sheikhs wealth,disgraceful..

Maybe or alternatively the "Yaya camp" had not reckoned on the story going truly global and not only the world's media 100% being against him but also right across the board taking the piss out of him. For the club it hasn't been good but for once we have the media to thank to some extent because we have come out of it pretty much unscathed whereas it has been a PR disaster of epic proportions for Yaya. He was a hugely respected player at the height of his powers, now the entire football world is laughing at him, no way is a player with a huge ego (which I think we can now safely assume he has) is going to enjoy that. If I was Yaya, I too would be looking at the best way of trying to regain a shred of credibility rather than still trying to push for whatever it was he was really pushing for. And that certainly wasn't originally a coaching role.

Re: Yaya Toure

Isn't he effectively threatening the club? Yaya won't be happy, i.e won't be performing at his best UNLESS he gets more attention, praise and appreciation and a coaching role in three years time.
I can't see a happy end to this.

Perhaps Mancini considers a player that doesn't warm up when he's told to is refusing to play, in a sense?

Barca must have come back and said they are not prepared to pay € 45m. Yaya needs to come out with the truth and get on with his job.

Just curious but those people saying that it's a storm in a teacup etc. How will you feel if the next story to break is that Toure wants to move to Chelsea ?

The only reason I ask is because there are rumours doing the rounds in Spain, and at least one paper out there has written that Barcelona have zero interest in him but that this escapade is because Mourinho is the manager who wants him.

If that turns out to be true then there will be IMO all out war this summer. Part of me is beginning to think that one or two clubs who know we have a transfer limit and are trying to weaken us further.

I know the club don't make statement and I respect that totally. However in this instance I feel that if there is one more outburst from his agent or from the player himself then the club need to address it either publicly or privately to gag them both. Otherwise it will be a long summer.

It's Spain to start with, the amount they get right makes the sun info seem gospel

And you really think he'd go to Chelsea because of Maureen?? Do me a favour billy, he'd be back to 7/8 a season...... It's money driven and that's a cert, he won't get that at the chavs, PSG or barca, city is another story!!!!!

Not saying it's true.....mundo deportivo are reporting mourinho is behind it.

I don't care any more about fookin Yaya he's dead to me now, fuck him and fuck his agent, get rid of the whole travelling circus

Re: Yaya Toure

Ridiculous amount of back-tracking, I can't imagine the club haven't already earmarked Yaya for a coaching role at the club, probably the biggest star (or at least one of them) to come out of Africa, who kids idolise and dream of being coached by, shouldn't even be an issue, the sort of thing that would put us, as a club, in a really good position.

Fuck-off Seluk !

Re: Yaya Toure

The whole affair is utterly unbelieveable.

On £220k per week and crying over a lack of appreciation. His agent crying that some other player got a car for their birthday... I think he needs to go and spend some time amonst people who are struggling to eat everyday, or have lost loved ones for a lack of clean water. Football is creating some monsters these days.

Personally I would hold him to his contract until he is 34 and never play him if he doesn't recant. It's an expensive point to make but in the long run it would deter other 'superstar' players into trying to pull the same strunt.

There's the key point, do we want Dimitri Seluk being in a position of influence over young players at the club and possibly representing them, forcing us to have to put up with more of this shit in the future? If he's part of the bargain then under no circumstances would I want Yaya to have a coaching role at the club.
