Re: Yaya Toure

Just put yaya toure PSG Jan 2014 into Google and all the same quotes are there that seem to have come originally from a French radio station interview

Re: Yaya Toure

Here is my take on this sorry episode for what it's worth.....he will still be here next season and he will leave at the end of next season for a paltry fee of around £10mill....I am basing this on the comparisons to the Tevez debacle, he and his twat kicked up a fuss stayed another year then toddled at a very reasonable transfer fee.....Yaya and his twat are just following The Tevez and his twats play book

I am probably wrong though and my over active imagination is playing tricks on me and he goes after the World Cup to Barca for £30mill

If it's to be on our terms, it will be this summer.

12 months of speculation and half-arsed performances does us greater harm.

In terms of posters being accused of being precious, I would simply ask how precious do you feel Sheikh Mansoor needs to be?

He has paid this twat handsomely and yet been accused of treating him like a piece of meat, who never even had the decency to make a fuss of him in Abu Dhabi.

The only person precious in all of this is Toure, who will now forever be stigmatised as such.
If we're that concerned by what his agent says we'd have never have signed him in the first place as he was very dismissive of MCFC when our interest in Toure was first made known

It's not what the agent is saying though, is it?

Yaya is on record as endorsing those ridiculous statements by then stating: "my agent speaks for me."

At what stage do you think it was necessary for Toure to distance himself from these accusations?

Unless you think waiting until after the World Cup is just a happy coincidence?

Seriously, bud, this is high stakes poker at work.

His agent revealed their hand because his bluff has been called.

Yaya is well aware that he kisses goodbye to millions in contractual loyalty payments should he go on the record publicly with such shite.

He's praying the next eight weeks can allow Seluk's dirty work to achieve his aims.

Same reason Kia followed the same method for Tevez.

Difference was, that was mid-season and even he didn't legislate for Carlos doing a bunk.

People do realise that this latest PSG quote is rehashed shit that was published in France Football six months ago!
He uses the words "Given the magnificent season Manchester City HAVE HAD, everyone talks to me and everything is open. My agent, Dimitry, is hanging on the telephone and he knows what he has to do, I have complete confidence in him."

If these were his words six months ago, they would be wrong as the season was only mid-season at that time.
Just done a bit of trawling it seems the PSG quotes were made about 23,1 14 .anyone else confirm this ?
He said something similar [re ESPN report], but it was worded more positively than today's reports. Back then he was talking of a possibility of joining PSG, but the report also said he was committed to City and also that "The Premier League is the league in which I feel best. There's rhythm, intensity. There's everything I want." No mention of his agent here!

Interestingly (or not maybe) Tevez's 'agent' like Yaya's is no such thing. Neither are licensed agents with Fifa which means they can never be held accountable for their actions. Licensed agents can be heavily sanctioned by Fifa including having their license revoked.

I'm not suggesting he's not guilty by association before anyone starts, I'd just like to see where Yaya is quoted saying that.

Re: Yaya Toure

I wonder if Txiki and Soriano had played the percentages when they renewed Yaya's contract, Having dealt with him and his agent at Barcalona. Yaya stays and give's us another 2 or 3 great seasons fantastic. He plays for a move after we helped turn him into the player he is today and we receive a large transfer fee for a 31 year old at the very top of his game. Win Win situation in Txiki and Soriano eye's maybe.

Re: Yaya Toure

A lot of this is due to the media re hashing what has been said previously and City fans screaming outrage. If somebody bothered to make a chronological timeline of what has actually been said by Yaya, his agent or the club, it would probably add up to the square root of fuck all.
Until another club comes in for him or we say we want to sell him, nothing changes.

Re: Yaya Toure

There are still loads if posters talking about getting £40m plus, even £50m for Yaya.

Dream on. No way is the transfer fairy be anything like so generous.

As things stand, I actually have more respect for Tevez.

At least he had the 'bollocks' to submit an official transfer request.

And its since emerged that Mancini probably did get his wires crossed during that night in Munich, with no player able to back up the manager's claims?

Funnily enough, Toure thought Mancini was great, as he used to indulge him above all others, including Mario.

Perhaps the new regime doesn't feel the necessity to indulge him to that extent?

Seriously? He (presumably) pays someone to tweet on his behalf? Jeez, the life of the modern day footballer is tough isn't it?

The first tweet was the Brit PR lady, she thought she was doing her job attempting to minimise the fall out from the Sun interview.

It was removed and replaced by Seluk in agreement with Yaya.

Yaya has since reinforced the subsequent tweets by giving a television interview confirming Seluk and he are in constant contact and everything is now "in the open"

So Yaya didn't actually say that? And that tweet has subsequently been removed too....hmmmmm

I am genuinely shocked by how precious some people on here are.

Rather than 'precious' i think its more the case that people are proud and protective of the club they love, when someone attempts to take the piss,or cause it hurt, then that person is correctly lambasted imo.
Spot on!

The Brit lady was rightly doing her job, although Seluk was quick to act.

I think you're in serious denial mate. Yaya is a superb player but he's behaving like a ****. If you really can't see the that you must be Kolo ;.)

Re: Yaya Toure

tolmie's hairdoo said:
If he really wanted to go to war, he could always try the Webster ruling?

Not sure on the criteria but it would cost £36m for Toure to buy out the remainder of his contract.

Perhaps that would be the rule of thumb in terms of interested clubs placing a valuation?

If he complains about a refusal to budge on our own price, we can be sure to remind him how highly we rate him.

The irony of it all!
He has to serve 3 years of his contract before he can use the webster ruling tolm, that's the minimum. So he could stay here until summer 2016 and buy himself out for around £12m but he can't use it this summer. On the other hand we could choose to let himself buy it out (as long as we didn't think he'd go to a pl club) as £36m is about the most we could really expect to get for him.
