If we don't agree to pay the extra, and just for argument sake, lets say us and others value him at 18m, don't you think we'll find it harder to conclude the deal when we'll have more competition from some of the biggest teams in the world, who can actually offer CL football with a decent wages as well ?

He will be a solid centre to our team,and to me no matter who else we get this summer could be our most important signing.
