He is a good player but I believe just because he plays for Barca adds the extra £15m to his price tag.

He's the 2nd best box to box midfield player in the world, worth every penny

he was class today in the match, dont get me wrong he wasnt fliking the ball past 5 defenders while having a wank but his passing was beautiful and never gave the ball away once and everything went threw him,his tackling was class, miles ahead of de jong and barry imo

then would wem play de jong as the holding midfield player with barry and yaya as the box to box mids or if ( IF ) we got milner would he play instead of barry ? and then would barry replace de jong as the holding midfielder

Barry as DM for me, think he's really excellent in that role

It's all about opinions and my opinion is he is good but certainly not great. Barca can have bad players too you know. He is nowhere near the class of some of the names Barca have which is why they're so willing to let him go

Mate he was one of there top 5 players in the 2008/09 season when they won the treble, since then he has been displaced by Sergio Busquets, who whilst a good young player, is no where near Yaya's quality. Busquets is Catalonien so therefore is more favoured over the foreign players in his position, it's always been this way at Barca. Yaya, rather than sit on the bench has asked his agent to get him a new club which is seemingly what he has done with us.

He will be turn out to be one of the best signings in the club's recent history if City pull it off, he's built for the Premier League and is exactly the powerhouse box to box midfielder our midfield is lacking. One thing's for sure, we won't be getting bullied in midfield like we did by Everton and Spurs last season with this guy running the show.

Like it.

Everton and Spurs bullied us in midfield as they have have a mixture in midfield Fellaini/Rodwell/Heitinga Arteta and for Spurs Modric/Huddlestone/Palacious. Yaya is too similar to the players we already have. We have no spark player like an Arteta, Modric, Fabregas etc
