If a deals done it must be to city surely. Chelsea dont need him and wouldnt pay £25 million, Arsenal might take him as part of the Fabragas deal but that seems to have gone cold with them demanding £70 million, certainly that deal is no where near done or agreed yet.

So if a deal is agreed already it can only be City IMO.

Barca are desperate to sell us there cast offs this summer, they badly need us to pay stupid money so they can sign Fabragas and Torres.

Having seen Torres for the last season or so though I think he is a shadow of the player he was Liverpool have burned him out making him play too many games when he is injured.

Sources at Barca claims that the transfer of YaYa is the best business the club has done since Real bought out Figo

Just to clarify, they think selling him to us for this much is the best business they've done since selling Figo?? ie, they think they're ripping us off?

For some reason i can't get excited about this transfer, i'd rather we went for someone else, don't know who, but not Yaya (strange i know)

de Jong isn't shit.

He was exposed last season as we didn't have a creative midfielder, but this season if we have Yaya and Robinho ahead of him with A Johnson and SWP, Milner, Bellamy or someone on the wings you will all be singing de Jongs name...

Totally bored of this saga now. Even if he signs, I can see him and his agent stirring things up in future, especially if Kolo is (quite correctly) dropped as a first choice CB. Underwhelmed

Well, despite how good he is, at the end of the day we are paying £25 million for a Barcelona substitute. They are bound to be pretty pleased with themselves for negotiating this deal.

If our owner is happy to spend that on him, how can we be getting ripped off ?

If us as a club are happy it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks.

I thought he was due some sort of a bonus payment if he played over a certain amount of games-hence why he hasnt played as much this season.

He still averaged nearly 40 games per season for the last three seasons-hardly a substitute trying to get a first team place.
