got to say signing yaya is a massive mistake. we will now have lots of midfielders and i fear De Jong may well move on which for us is bad as he is the best in his position in europe and a real fighter. yaya is not the same player and i think we will lose a real talent
Depends on how Mancini plays it, personaly I'd drop Barry from the best 11:

..........Yaya T.......de Jong.........
A Johnson.......Silva........???????

...................Tévez..................

Or:

..........Yaya T.......de Jong.........
A Johnson.......Tévez...........Silva

.......Adebayor/Torres/Dzeko......

Or:

..........Yaya T.......de Jong.........
A Johnson......Robinho.........Silva

...................Tévez..................

With Yaya and De Jong guarding the defence we wouldnt have to worry about Robinho/Silva and Johnson tracking back, they could all goal hang with them 2 beasts behind them lol

second formation for me please!!! with regards to barry, can he not play left back then??? he`s done it before?

i agree its got to be barry who makes way for yaya. de jong should be the first name on the team sheet letting him go would be a step backwards imo

Luis Suarez, the more difficult for Barça
SPORT.ES
As announced RAC-1, the Ivory Coast and its representative, Dmitri Selçuk, on Monday held a meeting at the Miramar hotel in Barcelona with a group of envoys from Manchester City, headed by its chief operating officer, Gary Cook. These agents arrived at El Prat airport in the morning and were divided into two groups, since other players left for Valencia City to try to close the transfer of Valencia player David Silva.

The meeting between the representatives of all English with Touré and his agent lasted about four hours. In fact, all the actors of this encounter ate at the same hotel where being made. By midafternoon, the issue of the City returned to El Prat to return to England, with obvious faces of satisfaction.

Therefore, everything points to the philanthropy of this soap is becoming increasingly close, with the departure of Ivory Coast midfielder at Manchester City after his trip to Barca. As has been the meeting this Monday, it is possible that in the next few hours the operation is closed.

Yaya will make us a much much stronger side on his own, he's world class and one of the most complete midfield players in world football, he started out as an attacking mid and his goal at the world cup proved he's quality going forward well also being solid in the tackle, he's a BIG improvement over Barry and i think thats the player that will make way for him with Yaya doing the link up/ box to box work leaving De Jong in the holding role.

I hope your right. just being said that de jong is unhappy with yaya coming. i know yaya is good but wouldnt want to lose de jong for him

who has said this? Anything I EVER head from NDJ has always been completely positive about City?

What are you 'UH OH-ing' about? That article is positive.

just a bit of clarification needed on the reports from Spain , the quotes from the agent regarding having to speak to the new owner were made before the hotel meeting and not after , the most up to date info is the result of the 4 hour meeting .
