Manchester City continues to mature the signing of Yaya Touré and yesterday took a further step in its strategy. A delegation from the English club traveled to Barcelona and held a meeting with the Ivorian to explain their positions closer ambitious project with its surroundings.
The meeting lasted for about four hours at the Hotel Miramar, as advanced RAC-1, and was attended by Gary Cook (Executive Director, City), Dmitry Selçuk (representative of the player), Yaya Touré himself and even any member of your family.
The operation is quite mature. In fact, Touré had passed the required medical examination yesterday, in a medical center in Mataro, according to RAC-1. Barca and Manchester City have reached an agreement under which the English club paid 30 million euros plus two variables fixed. "It is true that there is an agreement with the City by Touré," the general director of FC Barcelona, Joan Oliver, in his last press conference before giving the job.
"Barca never wanted to get rid of Toure, but the player wanted more minutes and enjoy more prominence. And the club did not want to lock their desire to leave. Now they have to talk Selçuk and the City, "the executive stressed Barça. Meanwhile, Selçuk himself noted that clauses must respect the contract by which he became Yaya Toure Barcelona player in the summer of 2007 from the French Monaco.
SPORT has been told the problem lies in the percentage that should charge the player's agent for the transaction. Barca said that the 30 million collected in full (and two variables) has agreed with the club 'citizen', while Selçuk repeats to be observed which was signed at the time. Apparently the object of contention rate is about 20% of the total and the agent said yesterday that nothing will be done "until Sandro Rosell."
