Yaya Toure signs new five year contract (merged)

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

I call bullshit. He says that Mancini is the only one who respects him but how does that work when our knowledgeable friends on here tell us that everybody hates Mancini?

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Fellaini's a good shout, and with better players around him he could slot in, though he's no Yaya is he? I also wonder how much pull Yaya had in getting the big names here. Players seeing City sign Yaya Toure from Barca, looked at his pedigree and thought 'fuck, i'd like to join him there'.

Re: Yaya Toure

His agent comes up wit this crap every season. Yaya laughed it off last season. Just trying to get a better deal for his player.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Yaya can be replaced. I still think we'll ultimately build the best balanced side without him. A summer to soon if he wants to leave at the end of the season though IMO.

Good to see 'no player bigger than the club' meeting its yearly quota though.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Yaya's agent often seems to come across as a bit gobby. Likes to negotiate publicly?

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Me being concerned whether Yah Yah goes or stays is not going to make one jot of difference to the outcome, one thing we know is that City want to alter the pay structure perhaps that’s the area in question, who known’s. The other thing I know is that in big business such as this doesn’t involve a newspaper getting involved and in this particular case the Sun, no more comments to be made there with their past history. Let’s just hang about and see what happens because I’m pretty sure that our owner is not prepared to invest quite a large sum of money in City and its infrastructure to just destroy it again.

I think back to the southampton game and thought they had had a barney pre match maybe to do with him coming back in and taking the armband from zab and zab had it back the next week,if he didnt want to play v everton and went off in a strop then that is unforgivable. big if of course but this article seems pretty in depth and specific.something is clearly up in the camp
What the fuck have I just read? Are you on this planet?

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

I'm sure we had this in the Summer. Yaya's agent said he wanted a new challenge or something similar.

However this is bad news and very unsettling for the players. Yaya Toure is the biggest player in the City team, and if he's going what will be the impact on players morale? It creates uncertainty and questions and it's hard to be at your best.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Just seen Mcarthy creaming himself on Sky about this.

I smell bullshit also.Funny how he wanted to finish his career at City 2 weeks ago yet now this.More unsettling shite

People keep saying this but if its true City better start scouting because in 2 years he will be slowing down considerably
