Yaya Toure signs new five year contract (merged)

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

And Toure, away on international duty for a World Cup qualifier against Gambia in Abidjan on Saturday, is ready to use FIFA rules in his cause.

They state if a player has not signed a new deal by the end of the third year of his contract he can buy out the rest and leave.

Would he really pay 22 million to leave? No course he won’t and also wasn't it stated last year that the club policy is to renew contracts after the seasons are over? Tell him he can have a new deal this summer and the only way he will leave city is if someone pays 30+ million for him or he buys out his contract (which he won’t)

The days of agents taking the piss out of our club and demanding money are long OVER so do us all a favour Yaya and shut him up. I love Yaya and think he is so important to our club but this is out of order. They have gone to the press to try force our hand and who noes if it will work

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Newcastle at home should be interesting.

Certainly if he has the audacity to play, the noise will ensure that he'll need a fucking overdose of Anadin for real.

I reckon it's make or break time for him and his Kolo in the next 10 days, and also Mancini!

After Yaya's non appearance at Everton, Kolo's sulk on being substituted and Mancini's dash for the airport, it is fair to say If this is not resolved and Mancini starts or plays either player all 3 will be gone this summer. Behaviour like this can not be accepted and will make our club a laughing stock.

If he plays neither, then it's fair to say he will be staying and the African Brothers will be on their way and Mancini will be working under instructions (advice) from the Spaniards.

If none of them are around against Newcastle, then wow; We're in the Shit!

Same paper that published the interview where he said "Of course I'd like to end my career here. For three years it has been enjoyable to be with guys who love you, guys who care about you."

Don't know why his agent would come out with this shit though.

Because money talks bullshit walks.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

I hope this is sorted with Yaya staying at the club. He is the probably the best "world class" player in our team who produces in the biggest matches on a regular basis.

With many of our personnel linked with leaving it must be a very unsettling atmosphere within the club.

It's often said new players take 12 months to settle in a club, if thats the case it may be hard to push for the PL title and CL success next season.

I remember Gary Neville saying City were likely to dominate the PL for the next 10 years because we would only strengthen with our transfers!

The rags must be chuckling.

That's the problem. We could and we should have, and we didn't. We chose exactly the wrong time to start playing hardball with players and agents. We haven't earnt the right to throw our weight around yet and this season proved it.

Fellaini's a good shout, and with better players around him he could slot in, though he's no Yaya is he? I also wonder how much pull Yaya had in getting the big names here. Players seeing City sign Yaya Toure from Barca, looked at his pedigree and thought 'fuck, i'd like to join him there'.

To be honest, Yaya's pedigree was not close to what it is now when he was at Barcelona.

He earned the status of one of the best players at City, not Barcelona.

Fuck him off n every other fucker that wants to go or doesnt put 100% in they can all go... I dont support city for victory ect.. I do it cus i love the club.

Dont care if we win trophies or not.
That'd be about all of them this season then.
The difference is you're a fan, they're employees of a club they care little about in the scheme of things.
