Yaya Toure to Milan?

Yaya will sit it out and go on a free, Its all about the money and if he is free he will get the wages he wants and a fat signing on fee, Why do you think his crack pot agent has been quiet of late and anything he has said has not been inflammatory.

If Yaya spends a season rotting on our bench and doesn't play it will impact his ability to get a nice wage next summer.

There's high stakes poker going on.

If he's getting £11m for watching from the stands this season why worry about next season, when he can rock up in China in any condition and get even more !

Your over thinking it, Its always been about the money and Italian clubs and Chinese clubs will be queuing unto throw money at him whether he plays or not. Yaya on a free will get great attention !!

Don't draw conclusions too soon mate.

Yaya has been training from the off. Yet Pep says he rather have young lads going to Bucharest so Yaya can do more training. Imho that is a clear SIGNAL that Yaya hasn't knuckled down as much as Guardiola wanted and hasn't profiled in friendlies as much as Pep wanted. But maybe Yaya needs more time to get where Pep wants him to be.

You say we don't have anyone in that situation. We do. Yaya and Nasri, coincidentally both close friends on and off the pitch. With Barca it was clear Ronaldinho and Deco were seen as great players, over the top and probably needing a clear challenge when Rijkaard was their manager. Pep however saw behind that and moved them on as soon as he knew they weren't ready for a change.

Btw, talking about SIGNALS ... the clearest of signals Pep gave to Yaya was when he brought in a crocked Gundogan, and picked Fernandinho as the clever player in the early trainingdays. But again ... maybe Yaya needs more time.

Out of all the people who may need more time, Yaya is at the bottom of the list--having already played for Pep before. NK is grasping at straws here IMO.

Peps breaking the players hold over the club. He is breaking the Yaya-Nasri thing and even Joe. Feel bad for Joe but not for Yaya after his agents comments every few months.
You have to wonder where that leaves vinnie. Joe, Sami, Yaya and Vinnie were obviously the more vocal, bigger egos in the squad - that's not necessarily meant as an insult to them.

What do you mean ?

You think that if Yaya stays, Guardiola will just ignore him until May ?

If he stays, he'll have a look at him at some point & if he's upto scratch he'll use him. If he's not, he won't. Same with anyone else who stays. He's not going to just bin these guys if they are still at the club & they train well. It all depends what offers we get in this window.

Moving Yaya (+ his agent) is next to impossible unfortunately. Look at Seluk's recent comments - the guy cant even pretend to behave properly.

I don't think he is going to say. What I mean is out of the entire squad the ONE player that has played for Pep before AND has had a full season does not need extra training. That line of argument is extremely poor IMO. If he is not playing he is not wanted. If he is not wanted, I don't see him here in September. If we can't shift him and won't pay him to leave, yes I think Pep will largely ignore him until May. He will play certainly here and there, but Pep's excuse for not playing him is he need players who could press more for Sunderland. That is a BS excuse.

If you watched Yaya last year you saw him run very little, sometimes looking like he was giving very little effort. Pep knows this and knows that Yaya will never be able to do what he is asking or be willing to do it. Therefore, there is no place for him on the squad. Would be very indicative of Yaya's personality if he decides to stay here knowing he won't play, just to collect his paychecks.
