Two significant reasons why Yaya came to our club:
1. He wasnt getting played at Barca by the now departed PG. Apparently 80% of Barca fans now want him back. New manager new approach?
2. He wanted to play with Kolo, who has been overlooked recently and looks likely to leave the club this summer.
Ever since he arrived he made no secret that he wanted to return to Barca. His 29th birthday was on Sunday possibly he's thought its now or never to return?
I suspect RM has some replacement strategy in mind. Possibly DDR? now Roma have finished outside Europe.
He will be a tremendous loss, I love Yaya. He is a big game match winner. However I for one dont want to keep an unhappy player.
The Ivory coast midfielder told City TV: 'We have been unbelievable.
'I thank all but I think next year will be more and I hope City will become a great club in the world.
'I will think about the new season and I hope it will be more exciting than the last one.
'I think the fans may enjoy it more because now we have fantastic players, they are growing.
'They have fantastic talent and I think next year we will get more cups than this year.'
Sounds gutted.
He says "I will think about the new season" what is there to think about unless he is not 100% happy? That statement implied he may not stay.
Also saying "I hope City will become a great club in the world." He seperates himself from the club. Why not say "I hope
we will become a great club". I realise his English is not completely fluent but there are some comments there that could imply he may not stay.
I am gutted about all this. I dont want him to leave but all our players have not grown up supporting Man City like most of our fans.
He obviously loves Barca he has made no secret from day one.
