We are with him as well and that's been the problem all season. He's always been slow in possession but he's always had that explosiveness to change the tempo in a split second and create something out of nothing. That explosiveness has gone, not completely but not far short. Yaya was always unpredictable and that's what made him so special as a player, you couldn't get close to him because he'd outmuscle you, you couldn't stand off him because he'd spray passes around for fun and you couldn't stand him up because he'd dribble past you and shoot. Now he's slow, predictable and very easy to stop, he's finished at this level as a consistent force.
Unfortunately his stand-in has always been Fernando, who has to be one of the worst ball playing midfielders in the league. Personally I think Delph is the most capable partner for Fernandinho, if they got the communication right between those two we would have a very balanced pair, unfortunately his injuries have stopped that happening and with the quality we're apparently looking to bring in during the summer I'm not sure he'll ever get the chance to prove his value here.
