Yemen School Bus Attack

It is big news because he has a long history of siding with murderers. How this man has a chance of running our country is beyond most people.

29 children blown to pieces and the first thing you do is use it as a chance to have a pop at someone who had fuck all to do with it. Disgusting attitude.

Iran has been made into this because of again interferance in the 50s to the 70s proping up the shah leading to the revolution that formed present day Iran.

Iran after WW2 was a free thinking nation with the wealth and resources.to have been a shining example to the gulf unfortunately Mohammad Mosaddegh even though appointed not elected was a little bit socialist for some and worried about soviet influence coming in.

Iran still has that strong urge for a return to a free willed democratic and tolerant nation by many Iranian but while the religous leaders hold power it won't happen dialogue was helping but were seem back to sqaure one and these proxy wars between Iran and the Saudis will continue
I'm old enough to remember Iran as Persia when it was a resourceful country attracting wealth and the Shah did lead a hedonistic, western lifestyle. After the overthrow the country was hardcore Islamic, detractors harshly dealt with and then came the damaging war with Iraq. From what I have seen any attempt at modernising the leadership is not transparent and whatever happens the Religious leadership retains the balance of power. Until they withdraw sponsored terrorism they will remain military outcasts with a dangerous agenda, to ignore them would be naive and the consequences don't bear thinking about .

The previous poster was having a pop at the papers reporting on Corbyn attending a memorial for the men responsible for the attack at the Munich olympics. Two wrongs do not make a right. Corbyn is wrong and of course it is incredibly sad anyone has died in Yemen. But Teressa may hasn’t dropped the bomb.

Not going to happen for geopolitical reasons as well as financial.
I know it won't happen but the Saudi leadership are just as bad, if not worse, than Assad.

It would be hypocritical of me to not have a go at them considering what I've previously written about Assad.

These 2 are specific on the killing of the children but there is a ton of stuff condemning the UK Govt's role in the war. Strangely nothing from the BBC.

2 articles that will have the square root of fuck all effect on this or any Government in charge of our country.

Other than appeasing your need to attack our Tory government for anything and everything, what effect would the BBC attacking them have in your opinion?

Her and her government could condem attacks on school buses and hospitals and if wanted suggest sanctions on the Saudis but then as UAE and others are also involved so they would also have to be included.

The government could award contracts to BAe and others and encourage a shift from building war machines to other aspects of their expertese like trains for the franchises and make any rail franchise awarded dependamt on using british made equiptment for example.

The government could stop the sanctionioning of the sales of war machines to states with a dodgy record on human rights.

Or course it is political as the government of the day has an international duty to condem masacaring children wherever.

So May can be dragged into the thread as PM, but I agree mentioning jezza opened it up to a left v right bun fight so best to just stop the party political side and critisize the government not for who they but what they are not doing

Exactly, there's every right to bring our goverment into this conversation.

Started to reply to you but I really can't be arsed.

But I will say this - if the BBC was doing their job properly the UK public would be better informed on a whole host of topics and any Govt would need to be mindful of it's actions coming back to haunt them come election time. As things stand the BBC are little more than the propaganda arm of the Govt

I'm putting you on ignore now as your posts are ignorant and stupid.

Seems you can't put a mod on ignore - shame

You did but you then you demeaned your 'writing' about the deaths of children with your whataboutery, nob.

Yet here you are using this thread to bemoan a media campaign against Jezza as well as score points.

Whataboutery len?

BTW i've made points about this thread not being made a political point scoring fest and that the focus should be on the horrific killings of innocent children so spare me the fucking lecture as you tried above by selectively quoting to make me look a ****.

You far left fucking nutters are a real piece of work aren't you?
