The country’s not interested, as many, at this moment, are educated enough to understand the reprecussions.

Most people are not left, they are just trying to look after themselves, and family, in a shite neoliberalism system. The best we can do is look after our own as we’ve now been cut off from our kin due to the huge divisiveness that this government has brought (you did say that you would want them to continue in power, even if it fucks all of us off - pile them high).

The fact that you can’t see what has happened here, says a lot. You’re nearly as bad as Bigga.

Those 4 needs are the absolute rock bottom that no one should sink below.
The basis of a civilised society. A position from which these people can rebuild their lives.
Sadly many do sink beneath this level.
I travel around mainland Britain during the course of my job. What do I see and encounter.
People sleeping rough in doorways, subways and on common land.
I am often asked,
"Got any spare change mister?", or similar.
There are beggars and mendicants.
Wretched drug abusers and others who are finding it difficult to adhere to what we consider a 'normal' life.
This is the case in most large towns and cities I visit.
That people exist like this is a disgrace in 2022. A stain on our society and a matter for shame.
Maslows hierarchy of needs, of which I have quoted 4, has relevance imo.
 
The problem is not capitalism per se, but what capitalism has evolved into.

A tyranny of corporate capital is as much a tyranny as communism or fascism. It's just more subtle, and that very subtlety makes it more insidious and more dangerous. It is much harder to fight against because to recognise that subtle insidiousness requires cerebral effort, not just reading the lies of the Daily Mail, or listening to the daily dose of propaganda on TV.

The best form of society humanity has created is that mix of capitalism and socialism that operated in the West (roughly) between 1945 and 1979. What is sometimes called (often contemptuously) the 'post-war consensus.'
Those who destroyed it - for reasons of personal greed, however much it was dressed up as 'philosophy' - were and are traitors to humanity. A far worse crime than to be traitors to a nation, though they were that as well.

If so called climate change is created by man we have nothing to worry about. "Population Collapse" has already started and its predicted that most of the worlds population will decrease by 1.1 - 1.2% per year over the next 75 years. By 2100 Chinas population will be down 60% from current levels if they cannot reverse the trend in young people not having babies. Theres going to be a very old population with no tax payers to meet pension demands. May explain why they want us on the same money.
