It's amazing in football how "The Dad" always takes his son(s) to matches. You'll always remember those days and as you grow older you'll cherish them even more.

My dad saw my love for city and took me to my first match, even though he only likes city because of me. Still dont know how he did it but took me to see city v rags 4-1 in 2003. That wright phillips goal will live with me forever

that goal will live with me forever aswell, cost me £940 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Was just born a blue...

Actually I asked my dad why were city fans (brought up in Dorset, dads from Manchester originally though). He said that he actually didn't know and that to ask my grandad why were all city fans.

I asked my grandad and he said "oh it's because your great great grandad played for Manchester city b!"

That's quiet cool actually. Any idea who that player was?
By my rough calculations that must have been pre-World War 1? I guess there aren't many records about MCFC B-team from those days sadly...

I live in Norway, but my father is a City fan (doesn't know how he bacame one, since he is from Peru) but I was dressed in City (and Atletico Madrid) jersey's as a kid.

And I'm by no means a bandwagon fan since I'm also a Atletico Madrid fan and Denver Nuggets fans.. Two teams that haven't done big things in my life time.

born 58, first match, with my uncle (rip) 1963-64 season, scoreboard end,(NORTH STAND) piss wet through, just got hooked, still am, only dont move as briskly these days lol, ....love this club, live this club, will die this club, end off

-- Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:00 pm --
