Your Christian (or first) name

One of my Wales mates is called Harrison, actually. And I too am a James. I’d prefer something a little more traditional Welsh. I used to follow a Guto on Twitter which is absolute class.

I can’t imagine names like Neil or Barry will ever come back like Oliver and Joshua did.

Met a bloke the other week whose first name...and I kid you not...was... Oral

It always baffles me why parents name their kids with Christian names that sound like surnames eg Bradley.
Throughout life that persons going to get and what’s your first name.
The other one would be those who give their kids Christian names that sound the same for males and females such as Lindsay.
If they have a soft voice it’s panic mode on the telephone, am I talking to a male or female.
If only we had the choice of two these days

Remember the tennis player Carling Basset? Named after her dad’s beer. Good job his company didn’t make dildos.

The one thing not to do is to tell friends which variant of your first name you truly hate. They will then be on the wind-up for ever and a day. I speak from experience. It was funny at first… then became less funny… then less funny.

Up to being 16 I always thought my Christian name was That as my parents always just called me " That Little ****

Here's a story. Apparently the Argentines fall about laughing about the fact that the Spanish call little girls “Conchita”. In Argentina, it apparently means, very simply, “little ****”.
