I can’t see when he will ever become a regular for us.

Mac Allister and Bellingham would be my picks to replace Bernardo and Gundo. I don’t know enough about Perrone to know if he could feature immediately but KDB isn’t getting any younger so thats another spot that may open up in the not too distant future.

I think kev will need more resting next season and Phil should be taking that spot eventually. Peps mentioned that he sees Phil more centrally and I think next season is where we see him evolve.

Out wide we need some pace. Mahrez and grealish are too predictable. Slow it down, either pass back or dribble inside. We miss that maverick player you gets you off your seat. Partly why the crowd struggle to get going. I wanna see 1 or 2 players rinse the fullbacks and get crosses in. Imagine haaland when we had sane & sterling with kev and dave behind them.

Don't get me wrong I love watching us now but you kinda study how we play rather than get excited. It's like comparing fine art to a Bruce Willis film. They're both great just in different ways.

Rico Lewis inverting like he did yesterday is kinda like a new midfielder signing. Think we`ll see a similar system to yesterday a lot in the future. If both Bernardo and Gundo goes this summer, do we really need two marquee signings? To me it might be enough with one marquee signing Frenkie/Jude etc. and one of Perrone/McAtee as the second replacement. We are truly blessed to have Rico

Potentially move Foden or Grealish into midfield, and buy a winger to replace.

Echo that, I have the sneaking suspicion that Bellingham might be Madrid bound and the price too high for us.

But with Lavia, I'm hoping there are 2 realizations from the club:

1) Seeing Lewis at 18, and his drive, and how he displaced the starters might give more hope to the youth

2) He's also done really well at Southampton, came back from injury, and continued to do well.

Lavia was one of our highest rated academy players for a reason, use that buyback.

Gives our midfield 2 options of:

Rodri
Philips
Perrone
Lavia

Those 4 can easily handle Bernie and Gundogan leaving, KdB I'd personally drop deeper there as well.

If we want a more experienced player, I think MacAllister is a gem. Just don't know how much cheaper than Bellingam he would be.

We need fresh players coming in with hunger to win titles . Bernie has been a great servant over the years but I don’t think he has the same hunger anymore . We can’t just keep relying on the sane players season in season because of our sentiment towards them . We need a total revamp moving forward .

Tough one with Lavia because if he leaves Southampton, it ideally needs to be to us or we’ll never see him in a City shirt again.

He seemingly still has affection to City (rumours after he’d left that we make sure academy products have a connection to us even if they leave - a bit like Barca with Alba, Pique etc.) and assuming we have a buyback clause? Would make sense.
