If the reports are true and we are in talks to extend Gundogan's contract. I think it's highly unlikely we'll see more than 1 midfield signing + Perrone.
I’d be keen but would need to see Gundo leave as well. Don’t think we can replace Bernado with Lavia and keep Gundo.Tough one with Lavia because if he leaves Southampton, it ideally needs to be to us or we’ll never see him in a City shirt again.
He seemingly still has affection to City (rumours after he’d left that we make sure academy products have a connection to us even if they leave - a bit like Barca with Alba, Pique etc.) and assuming we have a buyback clause? Would make sense.
Buy-Back on Bazunzu and Lavia, they need atleast one more season with playtime. Then they can come back and fight for the place Bazunzu vs Ederson
The one at Chelsea? Or is there another one I'm not familiar with?Lavia, Perrone and specially Kovacic. I am surprised by how little people want Kvacic when he is an inmense player, and I think he is better than both Bernardo and Gundogan. Bellingham would be amazing too, but too expensive.
Those 3, we can get them by 70m and then heavily invest on a world class winger and LB
Reminds me of a young Redondo. Has an ease about him.Easy! Anyone who has watched Enzo for a dozen matches completely and not just the highlights, will say Enzo without even thinking any other name. He is the most complete young midfielder I have ever seen in my life time watching football that is of the past 15 years. he has the potential to become the next modric. he is several levels and leagues above bellingham. his passing range is extraordinary. added to this his defensive game and engine is like a seasoned midfielder. he can singlehandedly run a entire midfield even against top teams. If we have a chance to bring him we must not miss the chance.
We definitely should have got him when we got Alvarez.Easy! Anyone who has watched Enzo for a dozen matches completely and not just the highlights, will say Enzo without even thinking any other name. Agreed in hindsight. There was a guy on the Alvarez thread before he joined us who kept saying we should be in for enzo Fernandez as well as looks a top player. Cant remember who it was though. Would love to know his thoughts on him nowWe definitely should have got him when we got Alvarez.
I don’t think we should be extending gundos contract as we are seeing his decline and next season he will be even slower . He has been one of peps best signings and last season virtually won us the title on the last day but we need younger hungrier players to take us forward .If the reports are true and we are in talks to extend Gundogan's contract. I think it's highly unlikely we'll see more than 1 midfield signing + Perrone.

that is a good shout. but for me he very much reminds me of a modric and a kroos combo. he can basically do the job of both these players. added to that he has insane defensive skills as well. somewhere I saw he has the most ball recoveries of any player in the champions league. but in the Portugal league he has one of the highest passes per 90 and the highest progressive passes per 90. basically the most complete young midfielder I have ever seen.Reminds me of a young Redondo. Has an ease about him.
but it was reported that enzo was the one who declined us because he wanted to be a immediate starter in europe; to force scaloni to pick him for the argentina squad. nothing we could have done then.We definitely should have got him when we got Alvarez.
Problem is most players outshine in their debut games and the next few after that, then they start to look average once the enthusiasm has been drained and realisation their entire foreseeable is a battle. I’m not suggesting he isn’t good but a perfect example is Mudryk at Chelsea, he looked great over the weekend but let’s see how he looks in March after he’s settled in.T I was at the Southampton Newcastle game last night and Saints new signing Alcaraz made his debut. He was a class above everyone else in my opinion, ran the game with some very young players around him. I’m not saying we should sign him, or he’d improve us but bearing in mind Saints do sign good players now and again if like to see how he does for them
Absolutely, I was just amazed at how good he looked compared to others it was instantly noticeableProblem is most players outshine in their debut games and the next few after that, then they start to look average once the enthusiasm has been drained and realisation their entire foreseeable is a battle. Which begs the question why did we let him go in the first place if he’s that good ?Tough one with Lavia because if he leaves Southampton, it ideally needs to be to us or we’ll never see him in a City shirt again.

We don’t play a double pivot and he’s no where near playing a lone 6 in the system.Which begs the question why did we let him go in the first place if he’s that good ?
Fair play to him if that's true, it worked out perfectly.but it was reported that enzo was the one who declined us because he wanted to be a immediate starter in europe; to force scaloni to pick him for the argentina squad. nothing we could have done then.
