Not sure about top 3 but Cats in the cradle is my top 1.

I think majority of people can relate to their dad's spending most time working during their childhood, then father retires, wants to spend time with his son, only for his son to be too busy to spend time with his dad....

Especially after losing my dad early this year I can't even listen to it anymore, which is a shame because it's a great song.

Ha ha -- in fact, I was trying to choose between Elegia and Lonesome Tonight. I do always get a kick how NO takes the edge off the "sad" songs -- a spit in Lonesome Tonight, a "So why don't you piss off?" on Your Silent Face.
