Your worst ever City memory.

Definatley Owen in Fergie time.

my brother was working in france at the time so i had to text him updates, before id managed to send 3-3, i had to delete it. worst part about it though was the fact that i watched the game with 3 other blues who didnt seem as bothererd as I was. I was devastated.
watched it myself that day, missus was working.
phone calls during the game, score etc,
Bellers makes it 3-3,i phones her, only for.....well you know,i hung up before she answered, thank fuk...3 times those fukers hit us with last minute goals last year, think we're due payback loui.

When we lost to Leeds in 2004 I think, our second season back in the Prem. I think I remember Alan Smith winning a shit pen in the last few mins and them scoring and at that point it looked like we were going back down again after what had looked like City being 'back' the previous season. I was upset at being 2-0 down in the playoff final and when we went down from the Prem in 2001, but I don't know, I think it was because I started watching us when we were in Division 2 so I didn't know what it was like to see us doing well. And once I'd seen us with players like Anelka who 5 years before would have seemed mental to be associated with us, I thought 'shit we can't go back to that again'.

But we didn't fuck up :)

I can still remember the stunned silence against Luton.
That's the worst memory for me as it was the first relegation I'd seen
and the end to a steady decline over a few years.
(Closely followed by any defeat to ManUre )

Lanza blues. Back in July after a couple of visits this year

1981 cup final - conceding an own goal for their equaliser in the first game and then Villa having the game of his life in the replay which we lost 3-2.

Martin Buchan ending Colin Bell's fabulous career

Losing to the rags in "fergie time" last year

EVERY DERBY LAST YEAR except the home one

and ipswich away when we got relegated...

and when we lost at york city and our bus left with out us lol

and sheffield utd in the fa cup when our mini bus got smashed up and we had to wait outside the main sheff utd pub n we had like 15 police cordenin us off with about 50 of yorkshire inbreds bayin for our blood. was a cold trip back over the penines!!

Wolves '74 - lesson #1 in realising that pain and love could sit quite comfortably side-by-side.

Fucking Luton - a rammed Kippax - wall-to-wall optimism replaced by disbelief turning to anger, and underpinned by the sad realisation of what we had seen slip through our fingers.

A lot of the ones mention here ring so true with me, but in the dark days of division 2 the blackpool away game springs to mind.

Living round there didnt help, working nights the evening before didnt help, going to the swift hound boozer after 3 hours sleep didnt help, having to answer a list of questions from over zealous doorstaff, to ensure we were not away fans didnt help, the first pint that was fookin vile didnt help, going and watching MY team that had lowered themselves to that level didnt help, the 90 minutes of total, absolute, sub standard, sunday league shite that followed didnt help ( i think it was 0-0), and then back to work!!

My god, i still have to pinch myself sometimes, and such a freakish chain of events has ended up with us in a state of the art stadium, with the best owners in the world.

So please people, just enjoy the ride....there have been some bloody big dips, but we are on the verge of something great.........a little bit more patience and it will happen!!
