Why is Colin Bell still not playing for us then?I hate this growing saying that 'there is no place for sentiment'. Football is a game based on emotion. To strip that away and dismiss sentiment, you lose alot of what makes football special.

Think he will leave in the summer even if he he is part of Pep plans as a back up defender.
The game has passed him by and injuries are starting to mount.
Think he will go back to Argentina along with MDM as his kid is young enough.
Be very surprised if he decides to fight for a spot in the team.
The end of that spine is very nigh.

Vinny , Yaya ,Zabba, and Silva are no longer what we need nor can they take us to where we need to go.
We should have replaced Zabba and Yaya ( along with a few others of course some time ago ) but wages , FFP , lack of foresight as to how quickly players fade these days made us stick with them and we have paid the price especially over the past two seasons.

Why is Colin Bell still not playing for us then?
He's got a stand named after him for a reason.
He should stay but if he was to go I'd have hoped he let us know before the last home game so he gets the send off he deserves.
As an aside those who go on about no room for sentiment are the absolute worse type of supporter. But reading their posts you normally already know that.

Think what? that he should stay or that he is a city legend?
on both 8 years loyal service and I would say a genuine love for the club and Manchester itself is cause enough for him to be considered a legend and also earn him a chance to prove he is still worth keeping.
Also the last 18 months he has played 13 games this season mainly as a sub because of injury thats 8 of the months and the season prior he looked knackered near the end after a long summer in the world cup and playing nearly every games.
And even if he moved on I would hope the club would give him a chance to return in some capacity when his career is over , if he wished too
