We all love Zaba but we also have to be realistic. He is a full back and can't get up and down like he would need to.He has never been quick but he seems to have lost another yard and I think is a bit of a liability. Nothing at all to do with his effort and commitment just time taking it's toll.
And the idea of him becoming a defensive midfield player is plain crazy. The qualities needed for that role are not what Zaba possesses.Think of Mascherano as the guy Pep might like there with his pace and energy and you have the opposite of Zaba. If he became a coach at City I would be delighted but that assumes he has what it takes to be a coach.
