Zab is a Blue through and through, he bleeds blue blood for goodness sake. He is also an adopted Mancunian and I just really, really, really hope that he stays with us. After Richard Dunne Zaba is my second ever favourite player and in my years of supporting I've seen a good few come and go. I know I love Vinnie but that is something different, Zaba is THE MAN!!

Sentiment is the problem with fans. Some people would still have Dunne playing due to it

He's finished. We may leave him for some sentimental reasons, though I'm not sure wither side would do that but he is not players for team with aspirations of City anymore.

I love Zab but I think us as fans our sometimes happy to have a passenger because he is a fan favourite. He is no where near the player he was a couple of years ago.
I remember Ireland had one good season and then when he was crap after nobody would except it, the same with Elano and Benarbia
The difference these day and especially with Pep coming in there wont be any favors or passengers
I hope Zab comes back next season but only as the player he was not the pale imitation he has been (taking injury in to account)
In fairness to Zabs though if pep says you have a squad role and he says no I want to have a couple more years as a starter I dont think anyone will begrudge him

Regardless of any fan sentiment, Zab has the best attitude than any player in our squad. He is a true warrior who gives everything on the pitch. I just hope Pep gets the chance, first hand, to see what an influence he has and what he can do. I understand we need to make room for new signings, and other clubs would be keen to sign him. Unlike some of the other players who may be leaving our squad.
