5 year deal. Seems a long contract for an untried in England 19 year old.
I accept he is a Ukraine international who appeared at the Euros & played in the Russian league for a season.
He sounds a very interesting signing, young, versatile & two footed. Will be delighted if he impresses this pre-season & becomes part of Pep's first team plans. Be even more delighted if he renews his contract in 5 years time as he will have proved to be high quality.

he looks really good, reminds me of Kinky. I only hope he isnt another "promising" talent that comes to nothing. Would like for once that they throw this wonderkids into the first team if they are that good.

People said the same thing when he signed Douglas Costa. And it's not over yet.
I'm sure most had heard of Douglas Costa, he wasn't a relative unknown at Shaktar and a 80+ rated FIFA player in FIFA 15

The work permit thing. Marko Grujic has just gotten one for Liverpool. He's 20, and has less international caps at all levels than Zinchenko. He's Serbian who are 52nd in the world FIFA rankings. Ukraine are 19th. He'll get a work permit if we want him to stay with the first team next season or want him to stay in England.
Under 21 and the 'exceptional talent' should help with the permit
