3 at the back with wing backs would be very, very unlike Guardiola, it's something he's almost never used. And to think he'd start with that formation at a new club with a group of players unfamiliar with his coaching and tactics is a million to one shot.

Where I am in Pep confidential, he has just discovered 21421, with his pivot dropping to make a 3 at the back,works with the full backs in midfield, which easily slips back into 433 when defending, so he certainly likes full backs that can become midfielders. But they are all variation on a theme that require adaptable intelligent players that can be moved about.Very difficult to predict a line up but, perhaps wing backs is a tad over egged, certainly see our fullbacks having more prominent roles under Pep both out wide and the inside channels.
Formation wise 3-4-3 , again difficult but he certainly likes three at the back offensively and going 4 when attacked.
