Do ppl actually believe we have offered anyone 300.000 a week? That tellst more about you than the papers.

PPl still think Balo is on 150.000 when infact hes on 40.000

zeven you just need to accept that Ibra is a player that divides opinion, people either like or hate him. I think he's a great player, world class even, but he doesn't correlate to our transfer policy.

I know, only way i see him coming to us, is a direct swap for either tevez or Dezko IMO.

otherwise we dont need more strikers or playmakers.

But when ppl say he shit hes overrated, he no better than Dezko, then i feel obligated to tell them they are soo wrong, and this is ppl who dont watch him every week.

Its annoying, its like someone in france try to argue Aguero, because the never really watched spanish and italian football and hes probably rated that high because of his Father in law or something.

PS
thank you for a rational respons, and not your born in sweden thats why you rate Ibra, BS.

DS.
a player that i would call overrated is Downing he fit that label.

You have mentioned Mario's wage a few times now - how do you know what he earns?

Excerpts from his book I Am Zlatan:

I wanted to move on. I'm the restless kind. I have always moved. I switched schools, homes, clubs already as a kid.
It became like a poison in me and when I was sitting there looking down on my legs I started suspecting:
I would never win the Champions League with Inter. I didn't think the team was good enough.
"Can you win the Champions League if you stay with Inter?", the reporters asked.
"I don't know. We'll see", I replied, and the fans probably sensed something already then.

That was the beginning of the tensions, and I talked to Mino. "I want to move on", I said. "I wanna go to Spain."
He knew exactly. Spain meant Real Madrid or Barcelona. But how could we act? It wasn't easy.
I couldn't just say: I wanna go to Barca. It would be like offering yourself for free: I'll play for nothing.
You can't expose yourself like that. Then the managers understand they can get you cheap.
No, the club had to approach you. The management had to feel that they wanted you at any price.

But the real problem wasn't there. The problems were my status and my conditions in Italy.
I was viewed as too expensive. I was the player who couldn't leave. I often heard that.
It was me in Inter, Kaka in Milan, Messi in Barca and Cristiano in United.
No one was expected to be able to match our contracts. Our price tags would be too high.
Was I too expensive for the market? A fucking unsellable Mona Lisa? I didn't know.
The situation was uncertain, and maybe it was stupid being so open in the media, despite everything.
I should probably have done the same bullshit many other stars did: I will always stay in my club, bla bla bla.

He has never been rated to be fair:)

And to be fair with my Ibra comment, I was hoping that Dzeko (I am not a Bosnian by the way) would go to Zlatan's level.

Dont recall where i heard it, but i remeber the amount because it was so far from what papers are saying.

-- Thu May 17, 2012 9:21 pm --

Downing got picked for the English national team, so obviously ppl rate him somehow :) i never rated him either though.

Yeah it would be fantastic if Dezko could be att Ibras level.

Ofcource opinions differ, but seriously dont you think the the majority of reactions from UK fans, are closer to comical than anything els.

its like you have the opinion of the world and those in the football industry and then you have the UK supporters.

WTF you think im in this thread because im born in Sweden? you think i rate Zlatan because hes swedish? Thats an insult and you should be ashamed of yourself to use that card. Not only do you question my loyality and support to City you also label me as selfish.

I would not approve a purchase of Ibra in the 25-30 million range and a salary of 300 K.

i would approve a swap deal including Tevez or Dezko not more, the primary reason im in here is to educate those who actually think hes shit when obviously hes not

I dont care about Guidetti, i think hes arrogant and not as good as he think he is, if he can produce like he did for the next 5 years i may change my opinion about him. I say sell him and cash in.

Woah woah woah! if you want to take it as an insult then thats upto you, however it wasnt meant that way, ibrahimovic im probably sure youd agree is Swedish football's talisman, and yes i do think your going to rate him more on that basis, you cant help it its how it is, im sure i rate alot of english players higher than you do on the same basis.

i find it comical how your categorizing all uk supporters outside of the football industry, that itself is more of an insult than anything a replied to you with.

Never questioned your loyalty to anything and certainly didnt label you with anything, that response in its self is one that would make me question you, jumping on the defensive....

Where did the Sun get this from then Just made it up. Gosh I am shocked. I was told we were in for him and had previously enquired about him so bit surprised to hear that we have no interest. TH and a few on BMoon are the only one to trust

NO other country outside UK are so Anti Zlatan as a player, thats why.

I have lived a larger part of my life outside Sweden i dont even feel swedish so nationality for me means absolutly nothing. The reason i get upset and becomes defensive when using nationality as an argument, its because it takes away from the discussion. its like ppl will take it for granted that im biased because of that.

i dont think you are biased against UK players at all, reason you have seen them enough in action to build an honest opinion about them.
The majority of them who believe Ibra is overrated havent really watched him week in week out and therefor should be more open to the fact, maybe those managers and supporters that have seen him, might very well be right and im wrong.
