    David Silva

Not one of his better games but he needs some help. Opposition know that if they shut him down we haven't really got any other outlet. Compare and contrast to United.

Gazzetta: Sneijder completes €36m move to City (continued)

Duncan Castles from Sunday Times reckon he knows the answer and will publish later. Implication I think is it's not us.

    The so called media bias

You could sense the glee? Are you serious? I assume you didn't see the back of the Times football pullout yesterday then re articles taking a clear swipe at Ferguson? Patrick Barclay has written more negative ones about him this season than all the negative ones penned by others about Mancini...

    The so called media bias

Reading some of the posts on here it's unbelievable. It could be coming out of Ferguson's mouth. They've all got it in for me! Most of the media comments are bang on. What Redknapp said last night was bang on. We don't look like getting points away from home against the better sides. The superb...

    Laughable

Took the words out of my mouth. Would they want Silva? Yes. Would we want Nani? Yes. Are they totally different players? Yes

Lets get em in the cup

On what basis does anyone think we'd beat United if we drew them in the Cup? Give me a single pointer which suggests that would happen? They are above us in the League and we have a rotten record against them over the past 30 years. It's fair enough being optimistic but to actually want to...

    A few thoughts on yesterday

Gelson - good points well made. The only one I would quibble with is that there are a heck of a lot of people who say we aren't far away and who think we are actually a better side than United (or a midges away from being so). Re my first point, I don't for a moment think that there is any...

    A few thoughts on yesterday

Blue Mooner - hear what you're saying. To be clear, I think we still are quite a long way away for the very reason that you outline above. That's why I am sick of hearing that we are close. I don't think we are at the moment because that takes time. So let's stop saying we are close to having a...

    A few thoughts on yesterday

Agree totally with your comment re the Lampard/Gerrard type player. That's our biggest missing link at the moment in my opinion. The lack of goals from midfield hurts us.

    When De Jong is injured...

Kompany has demonstrated that his best position by a mile is centre back. He looked okay when he was in defensive midfield but a bit too slow on the ball to be really good there. He is a centre half who can do a job at defensive midfield but no more than that. So leave him where he is.

Did I watch a different game to some of you?

I am certainly not gunning for Mancini's head, far from it. I think a lot of people are concerned that we aren't as far advanced as we should be. We have spent a fortune again following on from the 5th place finish last season and, if others win their games in hand, we are back to 5th place...

    A few thoughts on yesterday

Having had time to calm down a bit, a few thoughts on yesterday:- 1) I genuinely don't think that those players went out and thought they could win that game yesterday. Not enough belief, on the whole not enough experience of winning big games. Not enough players who went in to the game...
