Might be in the North West this Summer. Any tips as to hotels and things to see etc.

Do remember to bring some waterproofs and a brolly and of course if you are thinking of doing any outdoor activities a good pair of wellies without leaks are essential. It is after all the monsoon season here from May til Sept.

A walk round the leafy enclave of Radcliffe is highly recommended. The friendly locals will pass some time with you pointing out the many places of interest. This, followed by some light refreshments in one of the local hostelries is a very amenable way of passing a few hours.

If you want some classic buildings and culture visit John Rylans Library, the museum, central library, the hidden gem, town hall tour, urbis, MOSI, and of course our stadium tour .
For some beautiful scenery a drive to Dovestones or Torside reservior on a nice day is perfect.
the peaks, pennines, lyme park and chatsworth are also not that far away either.

Liverpool, Southport, Lytham/St Annes, if you want the coast are all short drives away (hr n arf max).

Oh and if you get homesick all the spars in town sell buckfast ;-)
