Kun's just been set the "Hart challenge" of having to adapt his game, but unlike Joe, he's actually up for the challenge.
He will be here next season imo but it is hard to figure out where Kun can fit in Pep's system.
There in lies the reason we're posting on here ;)He will be here next season imo but it is hard to figure out where Kun can fit in Pep's system.

It's really not that hard...
If he wants to stay as he says he does, then he'll adapt. He will be here next season imo but it is hard to figure out where Kun can fit in Pep's system.
Good post, and I agree, but to stay, he is going to have to adapt some aspects of his game, not for me and you, but for the manager, and despite some of things the media have said, I really think Pep wants that outcome as much as we do, and there is no obvious reason why Sergio can't do it, if he wants, as he is a very good footballer.I think to long-standing Blues, Sergio represents something particularly precious. Not simply because of what he did in 2012, but because he's a widely feted and coveted world class footballer who's only ever been positive about our club (and being here) since he arrived. Even now, he's maintaining that position.
For many of us who lived in perpetual fear that the likes of Paul Stewart and SWP, ordinary players by comparison, would be tempted away from City by promises of greater rewards, both on and off the pitch; fears that were eventually realised, a player of the quality of Sergio being happy at our club, and not wanting to leave, serves as a validation of our love for the club.
That sentiment may be misplaced; he's hugely rewarded for what he does, but he's never been anything other than unequivocally positive since the moment he arrived, and always been happy to dispel any rumours about a move away, and crucially, he's been good to his word.
For that, for me at least, he deserves a great deal of slack. They say there no room for sentiment in football, but without sentiment what's it all for? Surely sentiment is the fuel that feeds our support.

I've been thinking all season that this would be his last, as he doesn't (sorry hasn't), fit what Pep wants in a player, but, if Pep wants him to stay, as he says, and he wants to stay, then he'll adapt, and he'll become a better player all round, he could easily become a player like Suarez for me, if he wants it, so its up to him, but if he doesn't want to try it, and gets an 'easier' offer this summer I think he will go.
I just hope it's all done without any acrimony, as he's been a very special player for us, and I'd actually like him to find a new role like Yaya seems to be doing.
And as much as he says he isn't bothered about breaking any records, I'm sure the all time scorers record, must also occupy his thoughts. He may seem distant and is struggling to adapt at this time but I doubt he will want to leave just yet. I think he will leave us on a high whether it is us winning the Premier League again or us winning the Champions League in the next couple of seasons.
I hope he can too, mate.Good post, and I agree, but to stay, he is going to have to adapt some aspects of his game, not for me and you, but for the manager, and despite some of things the media have said, I really think Pep wants that outcome as much as we do, and there is no obvious reason why Sergio can't do it, if he wants, as he is a very good footballer.
He did say we can't be successful without him but I suppose he could have just been saying that to keep him happy for now.
I happen to think that he'll still very much be part of our squad next season and couldn't be happier.

I'll feel disappointed if he doesn't, because he can, and if he does we have a better player.I hope he can too, mate.

In our last 2 games our young front 3 have shown great mobility, energy, and pace, Sergio is more than capable of adding to that. Its probably been to his own detriment that he hasn't had much competition over the last 2 years, but now he has, and I hope he sees it that way, I'd really like to think he could thrive on it, but if he doesn't, and wants an easy ride, he'll go this summer. On this I trust Pep and his encouraging words, but I also trust his ruthlessness.
I think we might have a storming finish to this season, and that Everton debacle might be the catalyst.
Thats what I assumed. Press quotes. As far as I am concerned that means next to nothing. We will see.
Aguero is the most complete striker in the league in terms of having the combination of technique, touch, vision, movement and deadly finishing. He can be the selfless all action player that pep wants when he's motivated and chooses to be. But there-in lies the problem as he rarely brings that side out of him near enough. As I stated earlier, maybe its a lack of trust in his teammates finishing ability(who could blame him this season) or a feeling he has to do it all by himself but that's what it seems has been Pep's biggest issue with him this season. Pep knows he can be the all round player who not only scores but consistently creates chances for the team and hes proven it already this season as the video below shows where he didn't score but played a role in all three goals. He still has a good 2 years of high standard football left in him and pep knows that so I'm sure he will be a key part of the team going forward.
