You think Pep will continue to persist with a player who's never fit?
I think Kompany will be given every chance and the only way he won't be here next year is if he hangs up his boots.
Who do you think we'd sell him to and for how much?

I'm not sure, but getting his high wages off the books opens up room to sign another CB.
There's 5/6 players who we will be letting go to release funds for another CB. I don't believe letting Kompany go will be a high priority. We certainly aren't desperate for the cash. In fact I think there's more chance of Otamendi being sold than Kompany.
Time will tell I suppose.

But at least Otamendi is actually fit for 90% of the games. I love Vinny and I can't thank him enough for his service. But I don't think it's right to have your club captain hardly around.

I'd rather have otamendi and I think he's shit. Kompany doesn't play, no point him being city unless he becomes fifth choice centre back. Has he even played 5 games this season?

Good for you.
Still doesn't answer who we'd sell him to or who would take a chance on him with big wages with his injury record. He'll see his contract out and then hopefully City will do the right thing and keep him at the club in whatever capacity they both see fit.

I want him to be at city after he retires, but from a footballing point a view, he's a liability. It's frustrating because I think if we had him, we wouldn't be 11 points behind Chelsea.

It seems he is always saying he felt something in his leg !!! You do wonder if it is all in his mind and he has become scared to get involved

If he's got his wits about him (which we know he does) he'll be watching every move the manager makes.

A fantastic leader of men, I think Vinny could make a great manager one day if he were so inclined.

I honestly believe that the club will give Vinny all the time he needs. He may come back soon, play some role in the runnin, and take it from there for next season. I also believe that if he can't or his body won't let him play an ongoing part in our squad this will be the end of his playing career.
I expect the club may have already spoken with him, and layed out a few options he might be interested in (a bit like what happened with paddy).
Let's hope he gets his body right first and what ever occurs over the next six month's so be. Here's to you Vincent kompany, get well soon.

Does it need explained? He's the man we want to keep in the dressing room, leader of the team.
To say we should use a squad place up on a player who is unlikely to feature due to chronic injuries is fuckwittery of the highest level. He can still knock about the dressing room and gee the boys up without taking up a squad place.
