The title is very much still on. Anyone who thinks otherwise wasn't at wembley vs filling ham when we were 2-0 down in the 90th minute. Wasn't at Blackburn when we were 1-0 down at h.t fighting for promotion. Wasn't around in 2012 when we were 8 points behind with 6 games to. Wasn't at qpr when we were 2-1 down in the 92nd minute. Wasn't around in 2014 when we were beat at anfield and the title was Liverpool. As the song goes, we're man city, we fight till the end

Our recent record at Stamford Bridge in the league isn't actually that bad: 2 wins, 1 draw, and 3 defeats in the last six. Not sure anyone else would have a better record than that. Liverpool maybe?

If we take 4 points from Arsenal and Chelsea and beat United at home we will be alright.

I do think we will end up finishing 4th with us having to play that qualifier in August though.

Thats a bit harsh. I think people have justifiable concerns due to the fact that Pep hasnt sorted our defence out yet.

If we cant tighten up at the back then possibly. They have played some awful football under Mouriniho and yet they are only 4 pts off us. The powers that be want them in the top four. We need to be careful.

It's not implausible that by Thursday they could be one point behind us with a game in hand, so it's hardly a foregone conclusion.

I think we'll ultimately swat them away, like we've done for four of the last five years. We were here last season - and the one before it. Recent history supports my analysis. It seems that some blues are more consumed by more ancient, less relevant history, possibly because it feels more familiar and in-tune with what they understand the equilibrium of supporting this club to be.
