City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

How about reverse security searches.

Those who stay to the end of full time don't get searched going out. Those who leave before full-time get a full body pat down and have to queue up inside the stadium before they can exit it.

You do if you go to the games. Old Trafford the prime example in the south stand right next to us. There is always a crush in the Fulham Broadway after the game, we were 5 nil down and they announced there was a reduced service, we left and it was rammed with Chelsea fans about 5 mins to go, missed us going 6-0 down.

Not having a dig, but some 'fans' have not been for 43 years or ever, and thing they can lecture those who go on what they should do.

The fact on Saturday was that the ground was no where near full to start with, so more fans turning up would help, but it isn't important. Our best ever come back was when a very large minority of fans left WHL at half time, I doubt the players cared
 
Our greatest moments tend to occur in the last few minutes. Leaving early makes the fans look like a strange, can't be arsed bunch. What's the opposite of passionate ? The TV cameras pick up on it. Hardly inspiring for our players to see our fans leaving early to avoid the traffic. Imagine if we all thought like that..... And on their way out early some of these Herberts start angrily analysing Pep's performance and describing to each other how the team should be organised. Yeah, we'll put some bloke from Didsbury who runs a Sunday team in charge - coz he knows how to break down a Prem defence........

The only conclusion I can come to then is they must put all the early leavers out of the view of the cameras at the other top prem clubs :)

Dig or no dig, you may have attended more games than me this season but the games I attended at the start of this season and the games I will attend next month will have cost me a lot of money from where I am traveling from. I for one won't be missing the final minutes by leaving early, I can assure you.
 
I went to an AFL game in Melbourne in the 1990s at Waverley Park - 70,000+ in the ground. Left after the final siren and then sat for an hour in the car park waiting for the crush to disperse and then it took another 30 minutes to get onto the road - that was horrendous. Not sure if leaving early would have been any good as our car was blocked anyway.
Just saying, each to their own.

Personally I can understand it. Until Pep came the players could not even be arsed to applaud the fans at the end of away matches.

I adopted the attitude this year that I'm just going to enjoy the football and revisit why I fell I love with the game in the first place. Consequently I have really enjoyed this season.

Football and City is ingrained In me but If I was a kid starting out now I do not think it would have the same appeal. For all our success of late football was more enjoyable years ago.

That's exactly how I feel about it. Last season I pretty much thought to myself that I'm not enjoying this much anymore apart from the odd (usually away) game where it all comes together. I've hit the reset button too and enjoyed this season much more. Winning trophies is nice but all I want is for a team to be proud of and to feel a part of something.

Genuine question do you think 93.20 has changed how we view everything city ?
It has for me its like a junkie chasing the ultimate high,thats never going to happen again.

I think it certainly played a part but there is a countrywide apathy to Premier League football though; I don't think it's just us. How often do you attend a top flight football match in this country where the atmosphere is anywhere above average? Occasionally a series of events come together to make it special but even our away support isn't what it was. There used to be a bit of edge to attending football whereas now it's like going to the theater or the cinema. In think a lot of us have experienced a disconnect with the modern game.

93:20. Amazing. Once in a lifetime event. Probably never to be repeated. Hardly a month goes by when I don't relive it and all the fan videos on YouTube and when I do I always get something in my eye. But it's the past. I wouldn't have missed it for the world, but it's gone.

Does that mean we don't want to be serial EPL winners and dominate English football? Does it mean we don't want to the UCL? Does it mean we're satisfied? No. No. No.

I'm not just having a go at you mate, there's plenty of people who share your apathy on here, but it seems as though you're just looking for excuses for your own lack of enthusiasm.

There's not a lot wrong with football, it's better than ever; there's not a lot wrong with City, we're the envy of most football fans in the world. It's you, you need to get a grip. It's perfectly fine to just turn up, go through the motions, and leave a few minutes early for whatever reason, but to start looking for excuses as to why you behave like that is crazy.

We all moan from time to time about tactics, players, managers, trams or whatever, but any City fan who isn't wildly optimistic about our future isn't dealing with reality.

We are probably the last to leave the stadium mate .we watch the subs warm down and grass being cut.
The point iam making is v qpr I cried like a baby and did top tails on the pitch.v west ham I just clapped it didnt feel the same some how.?
Do you watch the west ham videos every week ? I havnt watched it again,
I dont need to get a grip on anything mate of course I want city to win every game they play .but part of me supporting city died that day ,from a club for cock ups even a draw now is treated as a major disaster.
I didnt sign up to be a glory hunter I signed up for a life of abject football failiure :+)

Watched the youth cup,final on TVs last night and that smarmy Chelsea fan Sam Splatterface was doing the commentary and the biased c--- highlighted that only certain areas of Stamford Bridge open tonight but no empty seats in these areas, cheap swipe at us and no mention after all the criticism early last week that we did sell out at Wembley when the rags failed to last year. Getting to the point that all southern based journalist are no longer reporting facts but making calls that benefit whatever team they happen to support. All these twats should be charge top dollar to attend games and then let them claim it back from the company they work for.

For some reason last night, I was portraying Captain Slackbladder later on in the match. I went down the steps in 304 on 78 minutes to see 2 lads walking to the spiral. I shouted "it's not even 80 minutes yet", but they carried on walking. A derby match and they were leaving early?

As you quite rightly said. "madness I tell thee".
 
I left at the final whistle and didn't even have to queue for the tram.Straight through and on to a tram.
First time ever,usually wait behind the payment booths.
So there couldn't be as many as usual left last night.
