It's Quiet - a new dawn

I think it's very unlikely he's the first name on the actual team sheet.

He's not going to be a better RB than Walker, LB than Mendy or pivot than Yaya or anyone coming in.

Fernandinho's only chance of being in the starting XI every week is if we play 3241 again.

Fernandinho is better than Yaya as a pivot, it's not even close. Yaya is a liability against anyway willing to press or attack when they have possession. Just look at the Bernardo Silva clip, it's embarrassing.

I'd like to see Stones tried as a pivot. It would make me feel more comfortable having a pair of very offensive full backs with Stones in the centre happy to settle into a back 3 if both full backs go forward.

No, Yaya is vital if we're against anyone intent on pressing us, which is why he plays so often.

He is always available to receive the ball from someone in trouble, always shrugs off pressure on himself, and generally knows how to beat a press. To say he's a liability when we are being pressed is completely wrong.

We are a team which usually has 60-70% possession, and when we have possession, Yaya is twice the player Fernandinho is in that role - which is why whenever we played that single pivot after he came back, Yaya is who played, not Fernandinho.

In fact the one major exception to that was in the Monaco away game, when we were very aggressively pressed and without Yaya could not keep hold of the ball at all - which is why we lost.

BillyShears saying he has info from a very well placed source that Fabihno isn't coming to England this summer

Isn't he the same bloke that said we were all in for Pickford and Ederson wasn't coming only last week? I'd hold fire before taking his word as gospel.

Obviously appreciate that people say things in good faith, but you never know.

To be fair, as someone who's met him and spoke to him a fair bit, his info is genuine. I'd put stock in what he's said.

I'll pour acid in my eyes if we sign Carvalho. He's 25 and still playing in Portugal. Why do you think nobody has even put in a bid for him yet? His agent keeps peddling bullshit rumours every summer hoping someone in the top 5 leagues picks him up, but nobody will. He's worse than Fernando.

Better passer than Fernando

The issue with him is mobility/agility. Not sure he could patrol the pivot area on his own in the PL any better than a 34yr old Yaya

you cant just ignore the fact he was adamant we weren't in for ederson and pickford was the one we were after. maybe his source is just wrong, no one is saying he's making stuff up for shits and giggles.

We have signed 1 player and not 1 itk called it so for me maybe the clubs and agents are calling each others bluff by putting stories out. PS I do appreciate all info that is given its that things just change ie kaka, laporte

Yeah, I'm not dismissing, I just thought it was worth mentioning - I'm pretty sure he's been saying that we were after Pickford all summer and was the only ITK on here to say so, with everyone else saying it was Ederson.

That Zin bloke told us to ignore his Pickford claims the other day and it was Ederson - he was correct with this. He's also saying that Fabinho completely isn't off the cards.

You clearly don't remember the Liverpool home game (15/16).

Why would anyone care about a game played under different manager with completely different tactics and when Yaya was 2 stone heavier and playing awfully?

That game is less than meaningless to any discussion about our team next season.
