Fact- City have made the arrangements for two players to be flown in this week for negotiations and formalities. One RB and one LB - doesn't take much to work out who these are! Deals won't be announced unti next week.

Damn son, your last post was in 2009. Where you been? In any case, thanks for the info! Also, any idea why it can't be announced till next week?
 
It would be interesting to find out who is the alternative to Walker. £60m is too much for the player.
 
I'd leave Walker then if we've reached an impasse. Player suitably unsettled so job done and there is surely a cohort of young fit full backs we can sound out across Europe. Alves is a security blanket and a half.
 
The price is only going to keep increasing the closer we get to the start of the season with no full backs. Clubs can name whatever price they want. This is the cost of not being forward thinking enough and having to release and replace 3 senior full backs in a single window.
 
Paying more than £35 million for a right back that isn't world class is unacceptable. Paying anywhere around £60 million is flat out pointless. We should be going after Kimmich, Semedo or even Meunier with that money. Wonder what happened to the Mukiele rumours that appeared in late May. He's a great player and definitely has world class potential.
 
The same could of been said about Philip Lahm who started off as a left back and a midfielder.
