Not worried about Alves in the slightest, he's all but done and he'll be there for the start of pre-season, or whenever he's due back with him playing later than others in the champs league final. It's far from ideal though still having not replaced any of the full backs we released 2 days before pre-season begins. It's not the end of the world by any means but i'm sure Pep would have wanted them in from the start.

That position is very demanding in a Pep side and they'll need all the time they can possibly get to get used to his style and demands. The longer into pre-season it gets, the less time they've got to get used to what Pep wants and the less prepared we are come the start of the season, meaning more potential risk of slipping up early on whilst they adjust.

Alves seems the closest to being completed when he's actually the one we could wait on given he's played for Pep before and knows exactly what's expected of him. The others are the ones we need in quickly, particularly Walker, who i've always thought doesn't have a good football brain.

Who is to say Paris haven't offered him double the signing on fee we have? Plus an increase in wages.

If they have done that then he will go there.

If he comes he comes - if he wants more money from Psg - fuck him.

I still can't believe how our fullback situation has been allowed to devolve to such desperate levels in the first place.

As long as we get top quality I am not fussed who we get, but if we start panicking and getting desperate we will only buy in some absolute dross that we will likely be shipping out at a 50% loss next season.

If L'Equipe really had solid info on Alves joining PSG they'd surely mention it on their website, or Twitter feed. It'd be a huge story. The fact they haven't is telling.
