I've barely seen him play except against us and he was a great outlet but I do agree, the price is hilarious but English teams are paying premiums as a whole now, it's all gone mental. I'll never not find the prices hilariously inflated but we will forget pretty quickly if they come in and contribute to a wining side.

If he has a better first season than stones then it's money we'll spent considering the amount we paid for him

we cant forget Mendy is only 22yrs old and only going to get better...we'll also be paying for that "potential". Monaco said from the start they wanted him to stay and would only considering selling for a big offer.....I dont care about fees or how much a player costs but If we do end up paying 50mil for Mendy, the best way to look at it is, we got an absolute bargain with Silva so have the flexibility to pay more to get this deal done!;)
 
Get this over the line along with Walker and the back four will be taking shape quite nicely.
 
I don't think Mendy will cost more than Walker. The French journalist most likely isn't including the Walker fee when he said Mendy will be most expensive full back ever because Walker's fee isn't official. From what's been reported it sounds like Mendy will be 45m rising to 50m and Walker is 50m rising to 52-55m... We'll see.

Not sure if your serious, but two of the best full backs in Europe joining us is way more than than an upgrade, as for better than what were previously had, two shopping trolleys would be an upgrade

I think Mendy will be around £38m-£40m. He'll be a very good addition, but defensively he's very suspect.

Even then Mendy is still better defensively than those two (granted that's not particularly hard), and he's only turning 23 in a few days so there's plenty to build on.
