At what point would you sanction letting your club legend go, he can't keep going forever.
When they are not good enough - which regardless of what some might tell you, isn't the case with Aguero.
People who try and tell myself and others that we can't keep Aguero because of sentementility reasons are patronising fuckwits.

Exactly. If a potential world star becomes available you go for him. If he comes, great but if he doesn't, at least you tried. If he does end up coming (and I don't think he will) and it upsets some of the established players, then they have the option of leaving or staying and fighting for their place.

What you don't do is not go for such a player in case it upsets one of two of the existing squad.

What's Munich got going for it other than sausage and beer? OK I see your point

18yr old potential,it could be a complete waste of money

Could be. Wouldn't be the first but if he develops in line with his potential, he'll be the best or one of the best for years to come and by then it will be too late for us to sign him. I suspect it's now or never.

I think it's a problem we have. 2 years ago no fan would have sanctioned sales of Zabaletta or Yaya. We could have got £20m and £30m easy. Fast forward 2 years and fans are saying we have kept hold of them too long.

You can't refresh your fullbacks whilst keeping fullbacks on the way down in their career at the same time.

Aguero definitely has another good season or two left on him and I'd keep him for one more. Not least because if we were to sell him for Mbappe it's two young players who have barely played a full season between them.

We cant keep retaining players until they are over the hill though.

Why would any Blue want Kun to go, he would be first choice for any team. Since he has been with us he has not caused any problems or had a strop,
he has been a great example to our younger players and a good ambassador for the club.
Mpabbe on the other hand has potential and we have seen a lot of players with potential bot never got any better.

He looks the real deal to me but you are quite correct its all potential at the minute and last season his goal return in a better side, in a poorer league was poor by Aguero standards.

Last year Jesus was the best young striker around, now its Mbappe and if we dont get him it will probably be Dembele again. Lets be grateful for the world class striker we have rather than wish him away.

I agree with your posts entirely. Who goes and who stays should be a long term, hard nosed footballing and/or financial decision. By all means respect them, hold them in affection, remember them for what they have done for us but holding onto them for sentimental reasons is financial and footballing madness.
