You enjoyed it? There were days in a season, and you could probably count them on one hand. It was hard, and having lived through the last decade I really don't know how we did it. It has probably changed us. Doesn't matter what we from now on, except maybe the Champions league, that title win was so precious for all those years we stood by our club in our thousands enduring endless GMR manager phone ins and disasters.
Yes I enjoyed it Marvin cos it was City and other City fans

Could this have a bearing on the Mbappe transfer. Anyone?

Well, you'd assume so, unless they were also planning on cashing in on Lord Ego to make room.

Given that is highly unlikely to happen - Ronaldo earns them millions in marketing alone, and still outscores most players in Europe - I honestly cannot see them buying both Dembele AND MmmmBop.

The only thing we can offer that real can't is pep. Mbappe can earn silly amounts wherever he goes, money won't be the decider in this transfer. Nobody likes cold British winters after all and it's an easy life in Madrid compared to the slog it will be over here, just trying to be realistic.

What if his favorite meal is Fish n Chips with gravy & a barm ? Madrid doesn't sound quite as appealing !

No it's not that. My son is 8 but he gets City, and he gets loyalty, and how big a part of our club City is. I started going to City in the 60's when things were great, but I enjoyed it no less in the 80s and 90s when things were shite. Some things transcend win and lose, and for me and my 8 year old it's Sergio, for me and my other lad it's Spanish Dave. I value them for that, more than I do us winning things. That's us, not you, so back in your box
As I say, the board will take it on board. Peace out.

Exactly this.

Same semantics which have our chairman on the record saying WE won't sell Aguero.

That could be entirely different to a scenario that Sergio decides he no longer he feels he can stay. It gives enough plausible walk back.

City have obviously received huge news in the last few days which has emboldened them to believe that we have a serious chance here.

The briefings have seen some of the reporters adopt the default of bid made and fee whatever they want it to be.

City won't want to leave their arse hanging out if it makes us look bad and he chooses Madrid.

The lads in America clearly couched their words, it has then been over-egged, as per usual by some over here.

I'm sure we are being careful, even if Duncan Castles' tweets earlier in the day about Madrid having to make contact that day smacked off using City's name to get them to hurry up.

The significance of the last few days could come down to our new number #22
