Evans is no clown. Heard today from two friends in UK who reckon it's a good signing, one has watched WBA for years, the other's a football journalist with a keen eye for a decent player. Their view is Evans would be cover for Kompany and a good teacher for Stones. But their thoughts aside, if Guardiola rates him I'll go with his opinion.

He said he has seen a lot worse and thinks he will be a decent signing. For myself I am happy to go with Pep's view. Everyone seems to think he is a great manager except when he wants to sign an ex-United player.
