If Guardiola wants Evans then I WOULD question him Oakiecokie, I cannot believe that we are considering this at all.

The thunder & lightning going on here in Eccles at the moment is somehow related to my disbelief &, dare I say it, anger!! And boy it's a long time since I heard thunder as loud as this. I thought my house was falling down.
So do you think that Txiki has just gone out and tried to do a deal with WBA without Pep not knowing. Of course not but theres obviously something that Pep sees in him, that the majority of us don`t begin to understand.Who know ... he may prove us all wrong and we`ll all come back and eat a big piece of humble pie. ;)

Alternatively it could be construed as a big "We don't think you're ready for the high-stake world of the first team yet but if you would please stop passing the ball away so often we'll be happy to nurture you because we believe you have the talent to succeed at this level- in the meantime we're bringing in an experienced leader who can mentor you and help you grow" to Tosin. If that makes sense.
It doesn't. He can learn from komps and otta. Evans is average

Or he could be like bravo and nolito? Bony and delph? All signings many blues who've watched a lot of football raised concerns about and were justified in doing so.

How ? Apart from "doesn't improve our starting XI" ? You are right there.

He doesn't improve our squad depth unless someone goes.
I guess he improves our home grown list, assuming Delph goes, but not much sign of that.
No idea how he improves "our dressing room".
No idea how he improves "Stones and Tosin", since he isn't a defensive coach, nor that great a defender.

Assuming Mangala leaves he is the 4th choice CB we so clearly need. Not many players would be happy to play that role who are good enough for us.
He replaces Clichy as a homegrown player.
He's a leader, and I'd argue that of our current squad only Kompany naturally fits that bill as Bravo speaks little English and isn't exactly performing well, Stones is young and Gundogan is new. That is important in the dressing room. He takes a good penalty too.
As I explained somewhere else, I think Stones and Tosin could learn a lot about pragmatic Premier League defending from someone like Evans.

No, because we expect a squad full of top level stars. Every signing has to be a first tier player regardless of cost. How many times do you read on here the comment " I don't care what he costs, it's not my money". Well, there are people whose money it is and they have to be damn careful how they spend it and make sure that we are adequately covered in all positions. Evans may not be the best CB in the world but the management have decided that we either can't afford a top tier CB this year or that that money will have to be better spent elsewhere. Supporting isn't just standing on the terraces cheering (or booing) every Saturday, it's also about supporting the management in doing a very difficult job in difficult circumstances. We all know we're a rich club and we should be thankful for it but we have to think of the guy who has ploughed in a fortune to get us where we are. Under different circumstances, I think we might have been anticipating the signing of someone like Evans with the same relish as that of Sanchez or Mbappe. People have very short memories.
Well you can sod right off with that ridiculous comment ... its far too sensible.I`m not in agreement that we sign Evans, moreso at anything that is now going to be above £18M,but sometimes a manager makes a decision that comes back to bite him on the arse,or he proves us all wrong.
You have a good theory that maybe as fans we expect world class players in every position, twice over, for cover. It only works like that on FIFA.

He is one of the players I have always enjoyed playing against waiting for the fuck up but more than anything shows the total detachment from City fans, it would completely spoil this window for me, lets hope it is bullshit media FFS.

I cant. I would boo any City player who doesnt celebrate scoring at the swamp, until my head explodes.
I can understand that. But if was a professional footballer who got an offer from United for 80k a week I don't think I'd be able to say no to that, but I could never bring myself to celebrate against City.
