It's Quiet - a new dawn

Our representatives will be asked to be godfather to Messi's next kid the amount of time they must spend with him.

If you click through and read the article, it's interesting he references that we met with his representatives last week - might be bullshitting but you never know.

Levy is such a ****.

Deems half his squad are worth £50m plus but pays them the going rate for £15m players.

House of cards that's soon to fall down as Rose has pointed out. It's not just him in the squad feeling that way.

What I don't get is why do the players keeping signing the new improve contracts? Should tell Levy to swivel and tell him I want the going rate for being the best left back in the premier 120k a week but he went on and signed his new improved contract last year of 65k a week then said he was pleased.

So Pep doesn't want Sanchez to to hand in a transfer request yet he's happy to aggressively target Messi at his boyhood club in the same way PSG did to Neymar. Nah not having it I'm afraid.

@Prestwich_Blue , could we make this work regarding FFP ? Are you aware of the numbers involved that we offered last season ?
Yes we could. I've said before that buying Messi is effectively a zero-sum transfer. When this deal was first put together (in 2013) I believe the club reached agreement with Nike and Etihad that their respective deals would be increased to a level that covered the fee. That's something like an additional £25m from Etihad and £12m from Nike.

In addition we'd secured a number of additional sponsors at £5m a year each, which would cover his wages.

So there's absolutely no issue wrt FFP as amortisation and wages would be covered by additional revenue.

I doubt they will again. Most were there when they were CL hopefuls, now a 3rd and 2nd will mean they want commensurate pay. Look at 'lifelong spur' Danny Rose's comments.

I get giddy when I think this could be real. Part of me thinks he strings us along to get a better deal but then Neymar moved and I think, why not ?
