Are you ignoring the fact that the EU imposes tariffs averaging 18% on non EU foods, with some over 100%, to protect EU producers? It therefore stands to reason that the EU will need to reduce prices to compete with non EU producers, or risk losing their share of the UK market, which means UK food prices are more likely to fall to world market prices.

I'm afraid the fact we will have cheaper food doesn't tie in so well to the Armageddon doom and gloom of the mythical cliff edge mate.

I agree we will have world food prices. We will import the vast majority, good for the consumer but the end of farming in the UK.

Farming has always survived mate, i'm sure that there are gaps we could fill in from the stuff we import bearing in mind we import a hell of a lot right now. Developing a culture of eating foods that are in season again instead of wanting it all year round could be a suggestion which is one among many.

ha ha ha you are kidding !!!! We live in a country where people walk round in their pants in the depths of winter with the heating on full blast ( and moan about the cost !! ) - the idea we are going to move to a Goodlife/Fearnly-Whittingstall world where people eat seasonal food is beyond fantasy. People expect nectarines in January and year round asparagus - trying to deveop that culture will only come around if there is a collapse in the supply chain and people have NO option.

Turns out that a lot of the net migration figs data is just bollocks....... the passenger survey the govt use has flawed data despite Toxic Theresa's reliance on it as Home Sec and PM

Her backside was voted the best in the industry mate :) Although i'd agree that Penelope wasn't going to make anyone's trousers shorter even after 10 pints.
Yeah I always thought that rear of the year award was utter bollocks, especially after Anneka Rice won it. Who the fuck sat on that panel? I think what backside you like is such a subjective thing, but I like my girls tall, thin and not too 'big boned'. Kendal is a bit short for me. Ironically enough, Penelope Keith is tall and was pretty thin, but didn't tick too many other boxes, I'm afraid. Nose is too big and she's too posh. Loud, posh women annoy me, in the main, even though I'm generally attracted to confident women.

Basically, I'm all over the place :-/

You are. This is the Brexit thread.

As for Gove and his "policy think tank", are they not the sort of experts we've had enough of?
