We have one of the most negative fan bases in football

No, we have one of most frustrated, but honest fan bases in the country.

The match thread today was the worst I've seen it in a good while.

A lot of people unable to get over the sacking of Mancini, grumpy Victor Meldrews unhappy if we aren't 4-0 up, drama queens and rags.

I have only ever taken notice of city from mid seventies onward and live in a bit of a manchester bubble but have we had the most chaotic existence in the modern UK football era?

Our story will make a cracking documentary....when we are all dead

Same names every week..........

The regulars on Bluemoan tend to represent the more negative "fans" so I would not use it to in any way, shape of form as a barometer to how City fans feel.

The amount of negativity from our fans about City at the moment is absolutely staggering, and during a time where we're literally living the greatest era in the club's history.

I can think of only Arsenal at the moment where the fans talk about their own club with such distain. I rarely ever see or hear United fans talk about their club with the venom and malice which has developed amongst a large section of our support. I've never heard a United fan say a bad word about Mourinho since he joined.

You think all those negative media articles and news stories have no impact but they do. They create a mood of negativity, something which festers in the back of the mind. It means you'll be set alight more easily at the slightest mishap or mistake.

The club isn't perfect and it never will be. They make mistakes and they will make mistakes in the future as well. I find a lot of the problems I have about City are the results of my problems with elements of modern football. We're not alone with a lot of our concerns about prices, corporates, fan engagement etc.

Unfortunately it seems that some of us have become professional Manchester City critics rather than Manchester City supporters.

People can't wait to have a moan about the slightest thing, and it's sad. I even saw people on this forum yesterday saying we've had a shit transfer window yesterday after we've spent £200 million+ on several top class players. Some plonker on Twitter saying we've ruined Denayer's career because we made him sign a contract and then loaned him out. The only reason he's not better than Van Dyke right now apparently.

Comments like this after the CL draw "Forgive me for not jumping with glee at not being in a group of death, but I'm still not convinced Pep knows his best XI from game to game" - After we've played 2 matches with 1 change where the number 1 left back is out injured. How on earth that could be your instant reaction or thought to a CL draw is well beyond my way of thinking.

The way some of us speak about the manager, players and people behind the scenes is frightening. It's almost hatred and resentful at times. Every mistake by manager, player or club isn't an excuse to go straight for the throat

The bottom line is that if you're not happy now then you will never ever be happy.

Give over.
Anyone happy with that performance needs their bumps feeling. Great result but poor performance and even worse refereeing.

One of our new fans slagging off every player bar one on the motm thread. Embarrassing really.

At some point this season Khaldoon is going to have say to the two stooges (Txi and Ferra) "We need to talk about Pep"

We waited 5 years for this fella and there is a chance this time next year he is running into the final year of his contract. I think Guardiola has been in charge 70 games or so, spent £300 million and taken us backwards its staggering, he has to start delivering.

I said before last nights match that most time when Guardiola we comes up against a Koeman, Klopp, Wenger or Conte he gets "done" tactically, case in point how Guardiola hung Sane out to dry last night, he's not a wing back. Koeman attacked down that side knowing this 1 down we go - straight from the ministry of the bleeding obvious.

It's all well and good Guardiola thinking he is some demi-God with the "this is how we play mantra" but just sometimes you have to at least look at the opposition, its not last night it's the fact that you cannot see any sign of him developing. It took Conte 7 games to "get it".

I don't know if we will win the league, but this squad is the best in the PL by a mile, most of the other 19 PL managers would be very likely the win the league with this squad.

Guardiola seems paranoid, irrational and on edge some of his interviews have embarrassed the club last season we seem like a vanity project to him, I mean taking the squad away as a favour to his brother at this point of the season he would not try that at Bayern or Barcelona. I think he thinks City should be eternally grateful that he has graced us with his services.

Its funny how most blues don't think the great one should be questioned, if this had been RM or MP the same people would be hysterical and calling for their heads. Not saying we should with Guardiola be if we are pot-less again this season with no sign of improvement then I think we need to look at the managers position.

This above was probably one of the most negative posts I've ever seen on this forum. You're hardly a regular.

The match day thread today was one of the worst ever - a disgrace.
