Most support Utd on here I thought.
This above was probably one of the most negative posts I've ever seen on this forum. You're hardly a regular.
The match day thread today was one of the worst ever - a disgrace.
Sorry?

Just like the MOTD "coverage".It was ridiculous and did not bear a resemblance to what was happening in the game.
Same names every week..........
Maybe that needs to be said, but I think your last line is a bit OTT.Not just the match day thread. The blowhards end up in every corner of the forum. Whether it's marding it up at people about who we should/should't sign because they're shite, yelling at people because Pep's clueless and "this isn't Spain anymore and he needs to adapt", or just generally acting like entitled know all dicks. We're one of the most spoiled supporter bases in the country and sadly it shows.

Always worth a reminder to think before we say something. I will pay attention. I agree with your sentiments that we are indeed very lucky and living through good times but it's good that we all still feel this emotional attachment to this club. It was great to see everyone hit the roof yesterday from Guardiola to the celebrating players and fans. That's what football is all aboutApologies Marvin (sincerely). I thought long and hard about posting it, but ultimately, it's how I feel and since many feel it's okay to express whatever irrational emotions they have on Bluemoon, I felt i wasn't going to censor myself. We have some incredible support there's no doubt about that. But if you look across all social media platforms we moan like we're still in a relegation dogfight with West Ham. It needs to change.
Very true.Up until 2008 every single one of us had every good reason to support the rags. Winning everything in sight, no chance of poor refereeing decisions against us, arse-creeping media with a polite aversion of eyes when it came to the eye-watering money spent to achieve success in a virtual monopoly.
But we didn't. And why ? Because we're all contrary bastards. And I'm afraid that spills over into here. Most of us rein it in but there are those, presumably without friends, who are particularly loud and aggressive and tend to drown out the more moderate posters. Collectively, City fans are no more negative than any other fan base.

I think you'll find that every football club has a supporter base that is pessimistic at best. Every start to the season the signing of new players boosts the average football fan's hopes and dreams only for the reality to kick in for most of them after a few games. For the lucky few, the winners, the top of the table sides, this pessimism is tempered somewhat by the winning of games. You only have to look at our dear neighbours for evidence of this. Some were unhappy about Lukaku, about Matic being a Chelsea cast off etc etc. It happens at every club.
As for spoiled? Why?
We're nothing like every football club. We're spoiled. We were shit, then our new owners decided to make us the financially powerful and stable club in the world. They packed the team with superstars. They essentially gave us what the supporters of every other club in the country including Spurs/Arsenal/United/Liverpool would want. The opportunity to be as big and as successful as we possibly can be with no limitations.
We are nothing like every football club, quite the opposite we are totally unique proposition. Sadly it's totally lost on the people I refer to who feel entitled to success after having had it for five minutes. In my opinion anyway.
