I agree. A top quality team is all about balance fella and you need different skill sets. We have 1 world class centre back who is injury prone, 1 new left back and 1 ball winner in midfield who must be fucked. We do have a never ending number of midfielders who can play number 10 though.

I believe our priority is a defender who looks okay in a backs to the wall pub team and another attacking midfielder.
I make you right but many on here would say we are both wrong about what we need and that Mr Evans is an outstanding acquisition

These scouts at top clubs seem to know absolutely fuck all.
What do you mean? Spurs seem to have very decent scouts who have probably seen that Evans is past it and have looked at other options. Oh wait they aren't homegrown or wba best player are they...

I think we should already have prioritised such a signing .

You should see our attack versus defence in training. The full backs have sneaked to the halfway line and dinho, kompany and ota are facing the Alamo of 5 foot 5 fancy dans. Fortunately this mass army of 5 foot 5 technically gifted footballers pass it around amongst themselves for half an hour then one of them toes it 10 yards wide.

If we could play a 2 1 12 formation with wider nets we would be world beaters.

Attacking midfield - not exactly short of options there .

The only signing we've made in attacking midfield is Bernardo Silva (who can also play out wide), which to me is an indicator of City doing some succession planning as well as addressing a need this season.

Our options before the summer in the attacking and holding midfield positions:

D Silva, De Bruyne

Fernandinho, Gundogan, Yaya

I'm on about our scouts. Surely if you're paid millions it shouldn't be too hard to find many hidden gems every year.

Bernardo Silver was certainly a good purchase for the future, but as neither Fernandinho or Yaya are defensive midfielders, surely we could have sacrificed one of them .

Anyway it's only my opinion but Pep hasn't addressed what is a flaw in our make-up .

Pep's systems don't require a traditional defensive midfield player. We won't sign one as long as he's in charge (unless the league changes him - which it might!).

If we get our way

D silva,KDB,b silva,Sanchez, foden, sane,Sterling,Jesus, toure, gundogan. All 10 have attributes in the attacking sense

Players who are prone to doing the dirty stuff we have

Fernandinho who likes to get forward a bit himself

Great planning that

Whilst I agree with you to some extent, our current manager doesn't want players who only do the dirty stuff.

Out of interest, who would your three main targets be in that position? I'm aware this is the Jonny Fucking Evans thread but fuck it.

Sorry but that is a definite flaw in my opinion , and not sure why Pep cannot see that. accepting that he won't be ringing me anytime soon to discuss tactics.

We expose our defence far too much .

That's my concern with Pep he doesn't seem to want any players who don't fit his paradigm. Question is does his paradigm fit our league.
