Lets see how they play against the arses tonite,we'll have more of an idea how our game will go,i thought last night would be a grind and i expect the same for this one

Considering the criticism newcastle got (rightly so) and their recent form. They wont be as desfensive as newcastle i think

KDB a massive dip in the second half?
What I have noticed is that he was decisive in a game once more and that he have could scored another goal. And if his teammates would be more clinical the game was already in the pocket by HT.
Are you not too harsh? City played breathtaking football (not always), are 15 points in front, is semi finalist for the league cup, still in the running for the FA cup and Champions league. What can a fan expect more from his club?

To be able to express an opinion on a player on a football forum.

Get a grip of yourself if I think a players performance dropped (even though in mitigation I mentioned his illness) I will express it. Why you think that has anything to do with me being unhappy or relevance to a 15 point lead I have no idea.

Palace are playing better as of late, but we should still have way to much for them. They also play Arsenal today so they have even less time to prepare for this tie then we do.

We'll have to prepare for 10 men behind the ball, as always. Assuming that Dave and Delph are still out I'd go with:

Ederson
Walker
Otamendi
Mangala
Danilo
Fern
De Bruyne
Sane
Sterling
Jesus
Kun

I think we need a natural left footed player and lacked that against Newcastle. The player that scares me the most is obviously Zaha, so our wide players will need to track back and help the full backs.

If Delphi is back I'd be tempted to give Walker a rest and play Danilo at RB. He looks like he needs it.

I would rather not play players who are clearly in need of a rest. Unless you think Walker, Kevin and Aguero played well yesterday?
the very first thing that happens when you rotate, especially to that level , is you fill the opposition with hope. you are also dissing them, they will play like Trojans. we then don't have the players to cope with them. so no, get a lead then make changes.

Palace tend to try to play football, so should be a good game. I can't Palace doing the bus parking like Man U and Newcastle last night. Good time to get those potential banana skin games out of the way without a CL match plonked inbetween. Good time to get Burnly as well as they'll be well worn out from their recent escapades. I'm not a fan of any particular team, I just love great football, that City are providing in abundance and it's impossible to take one's eye's off them. Experienced manager (easily the best in the world along with Conte for getting the best out of players) who is only just starting to get his blueprint embedded. These guys really seem to be buying into his philosophy. Munich never did for some reason and blew it in a big way as they'll never get a coach like him again. From an outside POV I think this team is only 65 to 70% there from where Pep wants to take them. That's the bad news for the rest. Another season or two and I think we're looking at another Ajax 1970's/Milan late 80's early to mid 90's caliber. I love watching a work in progress and City have the money to ward off the vultures (in fact, take the vulture's players, in a total role reversal for English clubs). Must be killing the red half lol. They went and got an aging anti-football, bus parking whinger who leaves bad vibes wherever he goes to make a mess out rebuilding their clueless team. What on earth were they thinking? Pep knocked the moaner from pillar to post in Spain, bar one season, what made them think that would change in England? Comedy gold, my friends, comedy gold. Nothing more satisfying than seeing Utd fans bleating how hard done by they feel after cheating their way to success under Ferguson.

He puts in loads of effort.

More than Ronaldo ever did.

And he is at least as good as Ronaldo was at the same period in his career, a player being slagged off by Utd fans for being a lazy primadona & who was up against defenders of half the pace fitness and organisation, of today's players, many of whom would struggle to play in Championship teams in the modern era & 'tracking back' was for defensive midfielders.

He is currently playing at a level few Utd players ever reached.

And let's see if Real or Barca try to tempt him away in the coming seasons shall we ?
+1

Sane and Sterling will be definite starters for this one to stop their full backs getting forward, also hoping Dave the Locksmith is back with his feeler gauge

Agreed.

Selhurst is quite a small pitch so there is no point making it smaller by putting only one winger on along with an attacking midfielder on the other side coming inside.

I think Kev and David will play with Gundogan and Bernardo coming back in against Watford.

It will be interesting to see if Stones starts.

*sniff*

4-3-3 please:

Ederson
Walker
Otamendi
Mangala (Stones if fit)
Delph
Dinho
De Bruyne
Spanish Dave
Sane
Sterling
Aguero

Wishful thinking but i would really like a Watford away performance right now
